Enjoy your wine and celebration. This is the best Sunday in awhile. #19 at SW19. And Game of Thrones tonight
The debate on who is the greatest on grass is over for you now?:)

I am glad Marin bothered to finish the match.

Still not sure what was wrong with him physically, if any.

As the commentators said, he was indulging in more S&V after calling for trainer, compared to his normal style of play.

Didn't really look too hampered tbh. A foot blister? Big deal. Most players have those. Seemed mentally out of it imo after Federer took over in set 1.

It was a metatarsal taping...could be a small bone fracture. I don't think it was a blister.

GOAT, BABY, GOAT!!! Too bad about Cilic's injury - and nerves, but congrats to Roger. As I said the other day - Cilic hadn't played anybody of any note. A Slam final against one of the top 4 is a whole other ball game than a QF against Muller or a SF against Querrey.

I think Cilic had a minor injury to his foot and a bigger injury to his central nervous system. Nerves are a biatch - we all know that. He went out there knowing that he had to play "lights out" like the 2014 US Open because Roger was going down swinging. Wimbledon is hallowed ground for a lot of players and I think it all just got to him - Wimbledon final, playing the GOAT, having a chance to derail Federer making history with #8 and #19. It just took it's toll on his nerves. THIS is why Federer, Nadal, Djokovic and Murray have dominated the last 14 years. The rest of these guys just don't have the cajones.

On another note - I don't want to read any comments about Roger winning without having to beat any of the other 3. Murray won last year without having to beat any of the other 3 - and nobody crapped all over that.

Damn, Darth, don´t you become soft now. It is time to pounce! To hammer! Go to the jugular!
He's feeling magnanimous today. Just wait until Rafa beats him at the US Open. That'll be over.

For once I can't disagree with your comment. Same could be said for Nadal's entire French Open where he had to play absolutely nobody to get to the final and then in the final Stan head his head up his butt again. There's a reason why Federer and Nadal - and Djokovic - have all 19, 15 and 12 Slams respectively - because the rest of these guys have no cajones.

Remember you said that next time you want to call me a bitter old Nadal fan just because I disagree with you. :smooch:

Don't let it go to your head, you weren't a good sport leading up to this final :D

That ain't happening. The iron is still hot for both Fed and Rafa but Nads will not be wanting that matchup right now.

LOL! not comparation RG with this ugly Wimbledon and how everybody have played. Cojones? like Raonic coming from and injury and playing his worst? Berdych playing like a chicken s<>t ( sin cojones) and Cilic not idea if he had a broken bone of his toe, foot or head, I can't understand how he could reach the final, come on! UGLY! And wait.......the surface very slowww.....

Absolutely. I had Fed above Sampras beforehand too, but now there is obviously no debate. Now he just needs one more USO and he is the undisputed best ever there too.
