Stan doesn't deserve to have beaten Klizan. He couldn't play after that hard ball in the nuts and lost the next 2 games promptly.

Hey Front..There's hope..the kiss of death Tignor picked Stan and the Williams Sisters

LOL, so Roger, Lucic-Baroni and Vandeweghe are all going to win ? :laydownlaughing Nah.

Stan is a pr1ck anyway. How many opponents has he belted the ball at on purpose last few weeks?! Dirty scumbag.

Is there any evidence of this? I know there was the one incident against Klizan in the fifth, but I'm not aware of any pattern.

And there's a fine line. Generally someone at the net would be considered a legitimate target; in doubles I think it is a standard play to hit at them. Of course it is usually considered bad form when there are other options, and shouldn't be done with an intention of actually hurting them. I think the shot in the Klizan match, given the score at the time, can be considered as Stan just wanting to make sure of the point. I think it was Greg Rusedski who pretty much said as much afterwards, saying he would go down the middle too. :)

All that being said, certainly Stan shouldn't be such a crybaby if he gets heckled. :laydownlaughing

Yeah, Carol posted them both here yesterday. Clearly did it 100% on purpose against Klizan and Tsonga as both times (especially against Klizan) he had tons of court to hit into. He's a total pr1ck.

I hadn't seen the Tsonga point but tbh playing at the big guy's feet seems like the right shot at that moment. Don't you think so?

Obviously I want Roger to win but think his run will hit the Staniwall.

Obviously I want Roger to lose in three quick sets. No stomach for a pointless beat down in the final. Much rather have a solid Stan-Rafa final.

Roger and Stan H2H is 18-3 and the three times that Stan has beaten him has been on clay, one in RG and two MS in Monaco. My question is if Stan will have the "guts" to beat him on HC for once because what I have seen he is not playing so well after to win the last USO

I just want Roger to win this and get to the final and then who knows. Roger can do great things. You have to be a good sport. Why would I want Roger to lose the semis? That's ridiculous. There are ranking points for reaching the final. Is a good thing especially when you have beaten Stan to get there. It will give him a lot of confidence. Not shying away from a Federer Nadal final personally. [WHITE SMILING FACE]

Roger will get into another final, as he has done many times since his last GS win in 2012, however he will (AGAIN) be the Runner Up.. This time, as he's done every single GS final I have seen with these two, lose to Nadal.

Fun times.

I rather Fed lose to Wawrinka than to Nadal. Those ranking points are meaningless at this point in his career. He won't get to number one anyway.

Roger in 4 or 5 sets..This court has been resurfaced to play fast and quick points..it's playing perfectly for Roger.. Stan has a chance if he can control the center of the court.

Early signs are this will be as close as expected. Stan held for 2-2 from 0-40, and in the next game Fed held from 15-40. 3-2 on serve so far.

Fed looking a little shaky here at 3-3 15-30. Nerves?

It looks as though it's going to be 15-40, but Fed somehow wins the point, and then goes on to win the game. The last point is a delicious cross-court backhand winner. :clap

Fed's first love hold of the match makes it 5-4.

I believe we're now in the part of the set commonly known as squeaky bum time.

Stan has a break point here at 5-5, but Fed saves it. He then holds when he stops play and challenges a Stan shot that has been called in. 6-5. Stan to serve to stay in the set and force a tie-break.

Roger is still looking good, but not as sharp as he has in previous rounds. His backhand is starting to suffer a bit under the pressure Stan is putting it under. That doesn't bode so well for his chances in a potential Fed-Nadal final ...

Maestero wins the first set with a beautiful backhand down the line shot that draws an error from STM. :clap

Fed threads a beautiful BH passing shot down the line for 0-15.

Stan's own passing shot makes it 15-15, but his volley is out (confirmed by Hawkeye) for 15-30.

Excellent serve that Fed can't get back. 30-30.

Stan misses a backhand by a hair - SET POINT!

And hits the net. Fed takes the first set. :clap

Interestingly, both players won more percentage of points from second serve than from first serve. :puzzled
