Congrats Milos I think this shows us that Fed probably wont win another slam. He can barely make it out of these 5 setters

Disgraceful performance. It's the end as far as slams go. Either retires now or has a Kobe Bryant style 2017 farewell tour.

**** no. He was handed that 4th set

Roger looking every bit of 45 trying to make it around the court! He had this match and gave it away! :cover :clap
It's a total lapse of concentration and more it's someone who doesn't want to be out there.. Have experienced it myself. Concentration ain't the same..

Of course. Of course. Where is the guy who loses 6-0 6-2 in finals? No. He had to show up. Unseen servebotting from this idiot. 140+ mph serves one after another. F£ck off, you retarded mug.
I would retire on the spot if I was Federer. I got second hand embarrassment watching him throw away the fourth set.
Dead sport. Now it's between Andy Mugrray and Mr Castrated.

Fed lost the match in the 12th game of the 4th set due to the two untimely double faults. Ironically, Fed's first serve percentage was the highest in the 4th set.

The point in which Milos broke Fed was a great point by both players. Milos has definitely improved a lot all around, in net play and in return game.

Raonic did well to stay in the match and then turn it around . His game has really improved a lot he has a very decent chance on Sunday.

Roger choked in the 4set , he had numerous opportunities to close out the Canadian missile. Congrats to Milos and his technical tennis team (Moya and McEnroe) both whom Rafa denied them to be apart of his camp.:nono

The point he got broken was especially pathetic, he hit a lazy shot right back to him when he had a wide open court.

Murray will straight set ms. Piggy and that will just make it more clear how bad this missed opportunity was.

I was talking about the breakpoint of the 5th set in the second paragraph above. Sorry did not make it explicit. In that point, both Fed and Milos really played well.

The break point in the 12th game of the 4th set was indeed pathetic. Not a good point.

The one in the 5th set wasn't great either. Roger hit it right back to him when he had an open court again and then some weak volleys that Milos tracked down easily.

Congrats to Milos on his first slam final. He held his composure, did what he had to do. The 4th set... yes, Roger handed it to Milos from 40-0, but he was not serving for the set there. He was serving to take it to a TB. No guarantees there for anyone, especially against MIlos who is not bad at all at TBs.

It did look like the end as Roger was leaving the court but he proved me wrong many times in the past so until he says so, he is still in it.

Kudos to Raonic for showing great guts in the fourth. We saw the maturing of Milos in that set because all the way up until the last game, I'd written him off. It was basic Man v Boy stuff, with Milos unable to wrestle much off the Federer serve, and being most especially culpable of wimpishness on a few crucial second serves. Federer was devious, cunning, sharp, cruel, all the winning attributes of great match players, whereas until that twelfth game, Milos was deferring in the clutch, very obvious in his strategies and almost formulaic and classical in his slow way of losing.

But he became something different today, and at last we had a bloke from his generation show some nuts and play aggressively and assertively when the match was slipping away, and turn it around.

I think Roger lost heart somewhat, heading into the fifth. It wasn't going to be easy and he'd played almost 3 hours 30 on Wednesday. But he scrapped still, which he always does. He went down with dignity. But Milos grew in stature throughout the match, and sometimes his tennis was actually subtle, good hands, and even brilliant on the big points...

The only chance of Federer getting another satisfactory win is at the Rio Olympics if he is going to be 100% fit throughout the tournament. 3 sets upto the final will help him. If he can somehow do this, a gold medal finally will be a very good consolation prize. :)

It is definitely possible that Milos would have won the TB in the 4th if it had gone to a TB. But, still it is significant, as Fed would then be serving first in the 5th set. That would have made Milos's job harder at least.

A week or two before Wimbly, nobody was willing to give Fed a chance to go deep in the tournament. His movement was not there. His baseline game and his groundies were not to be seen anywhere. Who expected him to make a SF here? He loses points in the ranking points but a run like this was certainly needed for his race points. This gives him some a considerable chance of getting in the WTF. Masters are still within reach of Federer. He will only get better and should be well poised to win a couple of masters or the Rio in some time hopefully.

It's possible he'd have lost the 4th set TB but I think most would agree Roger would have the edge entering it. He was the better player all the way until 40-0 serving at 5-6 when he choked miserably to lose the game. And even if he lost the TB I don't think it'd have given Milos as much momentum as breaking from 40-0 down did. So the 5th set would've been more of a battle at least instead of a rout.
