Bad luck for Madison who seem to pick up a leg injury in the match, she was one of my finalists:) have to now look at that section of the draw.
Domi having another good run on grass,I picked her to defeat Aga.When did Pavs suddenly play so well on grass? that was a shock win.Good to see Venus having a good grass tournament,I picked her to win over Carla.

I had Coco to win too. Dominika is going to postpone her wedding (scheduled for Saturday) if she wins her next match... although I'm sure she will be happy too...

Cibby gets the break in the second set... C'mon Pocket Rocket!!

What a match. Those two were playing their hearts out. I just hope that it didn't take too much out of Dominika because she looked spent at the end of the match.

Dominika wins 9-7 in the third.... Incredible match... One of the best matches I've seen on the WTA... 56 winners by Cibu...

For sure, that's one of the best I've seen all year. Gotta love Dominika. She also evened the H2H with Aggie. Good on her.

Yes, she said it was the toughest match of her career... credit to Aga... she's a tough out... never over until it's over.

Dominika was supposed to be getting married on Saturday... and that will now depend on whether she wins her next match... I hope her pending nuptials are put on ice :)

She was too wiped out today. But the silver lining is that she can go on with her pending nuptials. Good for her, and oh my, I haven't seen Elena Vesnina play this well, ever.

Kerber is looking more and more like the real deal. Last year, or when Simona was at her peak I would've picked Halep to win, but we're dealing with a revitalized Angie. Who do you have for the semifinals? Angie or Venus? That's a pick 'em, but maybe based on Venus's age and the fact that they're playing doubles and singles, I have to go with Angie.

Pavs is such a great clean striker of the ball, grass has never been one of her preferred surfaces, though she has shown at Wimbledon her best result on grass this year.
Domi ran out of gas and was never allowed to get into her match against Vesnina.
Venus one of the best grass court players, has had a great tournament, playing in doubles with Serena, they are still in.
Kerber who is yet to lose a set all tournament played solid tennis against Halep, she may be peaking at the right time.

I was sorry to see Cibulkova go out, but at least she can go ahead with her wedding. ;) Kerber looked great today against Simona. She is a great mover. So glad to see Venus playing and feeling well. Love her. I still favor Serena to win, but we shall see. Great players still in it.
