Lucas is great to watch. He doesn't have the I'm afraid and resigned to my fate look the other French losers seem to have.

This young man has mental courage unlike the likes of Tsonga and Monfils.

Instead of losing heart and going down meekly 6-1 in the fifth set, he comes back from a break down and finishes Rafa. :celeb:

Class match. Shocking miss by Nadal to go down 6-7 but in fairness Pouille made a mess of things when up 6-3 so it was just 1 point paid back for 3 poor ones by Pouille. Great to finally see a decent French player on tour. Didn't realize he's only 22. Looks about 27.

This is easily the most compelling match of USO so far that I have seen. Most probably this is the most compelling match so far period.

The longest match in Ashe so far and the first match to go to 5th in Ashe.

Hope Tennisman12345 is ok. He wanted to bring on Novak and Andy after Rafa beat up on Istomin.
Now, Rafa could not survive against a young man with big heart.

Monfils and Tsonga could potentially meet in a SF for a spot in a slam final. That's awesome.

This and the match last night between Wawrinka and Evans were by far the two best matches of the tournament and definitely two of the best all year.

1 ace for during a 4 hour match? I could do better, you brainless, ball-less pu$$y. Screw you and your defensive tennis. The idiot couldn't out hit LUCAS POUILLE. I truly never want to see you play ever again, I hope your wrist snaps in half and have to retire on the spot.

AND NOW LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, THE SCRIPT:
Monfils and POUILLE (OMG) in the quarterfinal will fight to the death only for a chance to bend over for mister world #1. Why show any courage when you really need to, right?

I don't know from what I have seen from Pouille he might have a say. I could see him taking out Le Monf.

Before Nadalites bring up wrist, knees, ribs, heart, lungs etc, let me say that Lucas did not defeat a crippled lame duck Rafa. Rafa was fully fit and running around like energizer bunny for 4 hours. No excuses, please. :nono

This marks the second consecutive year that Rafa was unable to bite any GS trophy. Wishing him many more happy returns.

Gimme a break, who's making excuses? Who mentioned any of these things? He played poorly on the big points in the fifth, when he'd taken control of the match, and this is a pattern with Rafa now, a symptom of age and decline. Nervousness at moments where he used to relish turning the screw.

Pouille is an exciting and gutsy lad, and he has a tremendous attitude, a huge backhand, and he's not afraid to charge the net. He's won three battles and he's young, but that won't protect him from fatigue. But...he's only playing Monfils next, so hopefully he makes short work of him...

I don't understand why are you watching in the first place?

Wow, the French hit it out of the park today.

Yep, there are three Frenchies in the QF in the top half alone. Interestingly, none of the three were supposed to be there as per projections at the beginning.

Rafa choked...his ridiculous tactic of standing that far back on ROS is so freakin outdated.,ignorant and self torturous ..I thought Lucus P was the 14 time career grand slam champion.. Rafa and his team had a absolutely NCAA Jr college approach to playing players besides Federer is astounding that he EVER win another title..What does Rafa have to loose..why he holds back is beyond reasoning..Rafa had no business ever loosing a set to this guy,..Monfils will beat the living horse manure out of this guy..Rafa needs a ReAl coach who played the game not some favorite Uncle..Damn:devil
