I guess this also settles YE #1. There is no more fight in that race.

I saw Ray Donovan sitting behind Lendl in the crowd. This tournament is getting dark! :devil

Lendl looks ready to disown him again.

Sometimes I think Andy is off his mental medicine.. When he is playing Roger, Djoker or Rafa he doesn't seem to pull these silly mental antics .. He had no business loosing this match.. temp Congrats to Nishikori, it wont last for long.. Congrats to Djoker and #13 I think this is got to be the easiest Grand Slam title he will ever win.( I hope I am wrong)

So, potentially Kei could retire in the finals against Nole now. :)

I didn't see that match but it sounds like lousy low level stuff, for this stage of a slam...

Only got to see the end 'cos I was in the gym but kudos to Nishikori for still managing to win after that awful game he p1$$ed away when up 40-0 at 4-3. Anyway, this can't have been a worse match than Djokovic v Tsonga. A few great passing shots from Novak, sprayed errors from Tsonga and then he retired but he was hardly winning 3 sets after that anyway. But clearly this had to be a better match than that :D

From what I hear from the commentators, even though neither was playing great Kei was controlling. i.e., the match was on his racquet.

It was not a low level match..barring set 1 and set 4 (that Gong made Murray lose his mind). The 3 sets were good, Nishikori played well..had amazing reflexes at net and did very well with disguising his drop shots

It was not a low level match. Yes, there were lousy UE on both sides, however enough spectacular rallies and some genius shots as well. Mixed bag, I would say.

I always watch the slam finals, but I'm tired of the Novak-Andy matchup. This is good.

In winner/UFE department, it is far away from high quality slam quarter. But it was very intense, trade break here and there. Each of them broke serve down 0-40. Murray had bigger/better serve, his untimely DF paid huge price. Kei tried everything in his arsenals, besides baseline, his net and dropshot is mind blowing. Well deserved win.

Kei stepped up and is playing a brave game. When playing Nole/Murray, you have to balance aggression and consistency, not self-explode first.
Or just wait until

Murray implodes
