If I would be Nishi I would have retired because some kind of "discomfort" , you know...the ankle, the shoulder, the back....

Come on, he's not Nadal :p

I would say he is not Novak :)

Dunno really, nehmeth. There are a good few inconsistent good tier 2 players like Thiem, Zverev, Kyrgios, Fritz etc that I like watching but they can't bring the goods when the stakes are high same as Nishikori and I find it hard to root for guys who have the skills but can't keep the ball in the court. I doubt I'll have any one favourite player really. They're still young though with room for improvement I guess.

pre-2011

And after, I remember well the show he did losing to Delpo in a DC match because his "back" and the next day someone was taking a pictures of him playing soccer :cover :nono

With today's win Novak will be ahead of Roger for career earnings. Pretty amazing.

Don't forget Nadal's knee "injury" in Wimbledon 2010 where he took multiple medical timeouts against Petzschner when losing naturally and went on to win the title. Yeah, his knee must have been killing him alright.

Aesthetically I like Zverev too. Thiem I like his fight.

Because unfortunately he had a very bad knee injury, I wish he didn't then many things would have been very different starting with your idol who wouldn't won a couple of GS :p

As poor as Nishikori has been today, I'm expecting better results from him in clay season. If healthy of course.

He was so injured, he only won three slams in a row that summer.
