Their h2h is 6-2 in favor of Djokovic. Nishikori has the semifinal win at the 2014 USO. Novak has won the last five they've played.

Anyone see an upset ahead?

I think Novak wins although Kei looked great today

The question is, will Nish have anything left for the MS and GS finals? the past history say not.
Now go ahead with the conclusion...

I am not ready to give the trophy to Novak right now. I am not saying he won't win either. It is just that he might have to work and earn it.

Djoker in 2.

As much i saw from Miami, i think in forward there wont be "Djoker in easy half, no Fed, Nadal.." but more up to Thiem and Goffin. Kyrgios is still not there, he might be mental issue for tennis.

Not the final I wanted but I think Kei will put on a good show. Djoker will hammer him hard early though and break the back of his workload by taking a swift first set....

While Samurai will provide some resistance, I still see a straight set loss for him. Novak isn't even at his best and he'll still win this one going away.

I don't really see a way through for Kei. The only way Novak is going to lose to anyone at this point (aside from injury) is if someone is able to get under his skin. I just don't see anyone on tour capable of doing that right now. Maybe if Roger comes back strong, but then only in best-of-threes. Maybe if Rafa parties like its 2013 during clay season. But Kei doesn't seem like that guy.

Novak in 2.

Nole played his B game to reach final. I expect him to lift his gear in the final, just like IW. If not, he might need to tough out in 3.

Rafa made him raise his level it IW. Goffin really pushed him yesterday... hopefully the same quality will result tomorrow.

I am not being able to follow the boards lately, so I don't know what you guys saw on yesterday's semis. I saw Goffin lose a first set that was in his racquet... Djokovic is obviously playing well, people are scared of him, but for all 2016 honestly I am not seeing him unbeatable (no, I am not saying that he is not the best player in the world right now).

On the other hand, there's no guarantee that Nishikori will bring his A game.

Today is a perfect day to play a final, maxim temperature wil be 79 degrees, sunny and less humid, the nicer day of these last weeks. Hope Nish has left something in the tank been able to play his best, it's time to win a MS

I think it's time for Nishi's generation to stop looking like greenhorns and go out there feeling entitled to be there, but even still, Nishi hasn't got the defensive capabilities Novak has. I think he's able to make this one interesting but I read earlier about how often and by how much Novak has smacked him down since the 2014 USO semi, and it doesn't make for pretty reading...

If he is able to hold and protect his serve , he has a chance.

If Nishikori plays like a man, he wins this one. It will be sunny, so he won't struggle to hit through Novak as much as he did at the WTF in 2015. That was one of the worst matches I have ever seen from him. He utterly gave up.
This is not to downplay anyone, but I really think he can win this if he doesn't p##sy out like he tends to do against the big 4. This is a big if though. Needs to serve really well. Go Kei!
