Hoping Gabashvili manages to beat Isner as he'll make a much tougher opponent than Isner for Murray.

On grass or fast hard courts Ivo might sneak a set from Murray but I'm actually thinking since this is clay he'll win a maximum of 9-10 games. He'll get frustrated that his usually deadly serves are coming back, make some double faults or 2nd serves and get broken a lot I reckon.

Good call Mr. Front. I said he'd win a max of 10 games. Well he won 11 games.

Gabashvili up 2-0 and serving against Isner in the 5th. Sweet.

Isner's just flat out terrible to watch. That's the main reason but clearly Gabashvili is not only a tougher opponent for Murray but would make for a far more entertaining match. Yeah, very rough for Nadal and fans. I never wish injury on anyone. Just prefer to see players I can't stand get hammered but while 100% healthy.

Lucky Raonic, he is getting unknown opponents again and again. The first seed he face may be Stan in quarterfinals. Then everybody will say, look he is a great player

I wouldn't say they're unknown; just not as good! Heaven knows Rafa has had some cupcake draws which he allowed to be more competitive with his defensive style of play! Can you say Daniel Brand? :cover :nono  :lolz: :snicker :laydownlaughing

MODERATOR NOTE: Just an FYI, I moved all of the posts which were focused on the Rafa injury to this thread - please continue the discussion there.

It is Roger's fault. He would have show up, Milos would have been ranked 9 and with a totally different draw ;)
By the way, Milos is 5 in the race for 2016, while battling injuries, in the mean time Rodge is 13...by that measure, yes, Milos is a great player:snicker

I just wonder what kind of seed Roger gets with all these missed events and lack of play? :puzzled :nono

Roger is still world number 3.

For now.

Yeah, I realize he's likely to drop but my comment was in reply to how he's still getting good seedings having played so little and it's simple, he's world number 3 currently.

True. Now, with Nadal's withdrawal, his 3 spot is secure going into Wimbledon.
