Seena leads the H2H 18-2.

We all know the story w/ this match-up. The most recent match was a straight setter won by Serena in the SF of Wimbledon last summer. Does Maria break through this time and get her first win in over 12 years?

If played under sun, this will not even be competitive.

We will get to know every nook and corner of Maria's back as she turns around gives herself a peptalk after losing every point.

pova has no chance and shouldnt be anywhere compared to Serena...she is also a lesser to Venus or Hingis...#overhyped.
#21 must be 4 times greater than #5..4 gold medals, many weeks at no.1.doubles grand slams etc...even Venus has a better resume than pova...

This match will surely be in the night session and so I won't be able to watch it live. Also, if it is in the night, it will help Maria. I expect a scoreline of 7-5, 6-4 or 6-4, 6-3.

I don't ever take Maria for granted. I mean sooner or later fortune has to take a liking to her, I mean right? I think it will be a night match unless they give it to the guys. Having said that, Serena has definitely looked the better of the two.

They will put one men's match and one women's match for the day session (and similarly for the ngiht session). Night session tends to get marque match ups. So, I would presume that Serena-Maria and Novak-Kei will be night matches. Most probably the other two, viz, Roger - Bird and Aga-CSN will be day matches.

Serena is playing better than last year...her serve is clicking fh is fabulous bh is da bomb...just dont see Maria winning this match..even though pova is serving better, the match will be between the ears and 10 yrs will be too much to undo on Tuesday...night time daytime morning ...the outcome will be the same.
19-2

This is a day match and so I will be able to watch it. Now that this is a day match I reduce Pova's chances even further.

That's awfully generous. I suspect more like 6-2, 6-1.

I am definitely giving Serena the edge, but, I never sleep on a player with Maria's fortitude. That being said, I know from my junior tennis days, when someone has beaten you numerous times, it truly affects your mind, and not necessarily in a good way.

The mental aspect is certainly a huge factor at this point. At the same time, Maria has done nothing to change her game to beat Serena, so I don't see her doing it today. I do think Maria's chances are better in a QF, than a final, but only slightly.

So, it is a mid day match with roof open. Does not bode well for Maria. She played last three matches as indoor matches.

Maria did not break Serena, Serena did; just an FYI. That was 4 UFE by SW!

Serena will right the ship very soon.

So much for all that great serving Maria was doing earlier. Several DF's and 1 ace. We're back on serve.

Plus I said Maria gets the break. I didn't say Maria broke Serena through any brilliance of her own.
