Nadal fans should be overcome with joy in that case. According to Carol, all Nadal's problems relate to his head :lolz: Seems that way alright, new racquet and hair transplant in the same month. Totally new head!

Not sure how relvenat, but Nadal was spotted hitting with a Head racquet. If you want to see it, just Google it, or visit Men's tennis forum, they posted the video there as well.
He is probably trying to fix his serve with the new stick.d

It may be a Babolat prototype..I would like to see if the serve has changed

It's much better to get a transplant which I think is an excellent idea than trying to push the hair forward to cover "receding hairline" like Roger does :lolz:

Apparently, this year they were selling WTF tickets at half the face value on the day of the game as they were not sold out.

Also, apparently ATP's revenue this year was just 400 million dollars. This is less than half of the 900 million dollars they made last year. This is attributed to Roger and Rafa skipping considerable parts of the year and the resulting lack of interest from casual fans.

That's a troubling development...

Interesting. Clearly Roger and Rafa have a certain cachet that Novak and Andy haven't been able to match.

What I'm really hoping for is a revival of American men's tennis. If Fritz and Tiafoe can become stars, it will do a lot to boost men's tennis in the USA, which should in turn boost overall popularity. Otherwise tennis could spiral down into a "second tier" sport like rugby or cricket in terms of global popularity.

Judging by what I have seen from them both, as enthusiastic about it as you are, it won't happen. However, if USA gives birth to another tier 1 great such as Sampras or Agassi, imagine the damage they would do on tour. That guy would be one hell of a superpower in the absence of the big 4. I don't know how likely it is though.

not sure ATP's revenue depend on 2 players....when they retire tennis'll continue as it continued after Borg, Vilas, Becker, Sampras etc....crowd wants new faces, new idols

Well, it depends the point of view but remember that Federer and Nadal since early age got all the attention of the tennis followers because their potential and achievements which the "new faces/idols" have not got it yet and not too many people are talking about them, only something like "maybe they will, they are ok..but..., very unstable, who knows, when they will win the first MS and GS? etc etc etc."
If something doesn't change soon I wouldn't be surprised the ATP could lose more money

maybe ATP could try to attract young cowd, new fans who never went to a stadium to see a tourney, it's a challenge but it's worthy
moreover, tickets are usually very expensive, some people can't afford it, especially in Europe with economic crisis that's probably a main problem to make people come to see a match (TV is free)

So old man Federer apparently has the second highest average running speed on tour after Murray.

Yeah, there is no way that this data is correct. The first surprise was Djokovic being faster than Murray. Murray's legs do get a little lazy at times but I was almost sure he could reach a higher top speed than Djokovic. After that, we have Raonic, with his athletic build being faster than Federer, Nishikori and NADAL. Come on.
And extremely explosive guys who can get to basically any ball, like Thiem and Monfils aren't even in the top 10.

Monfils is too busy tanking matches to be fast lol! Only thing he's fast at is giving up. He has terrible cardio as well. Well, if we're to believe the stats for serve speed and distance traveled are accurate, not to mention Hawkeye, then maybe the stats are correct.
