And that'll do it. Serena was solid today. Only dropped serve the once and pressured Venus' returns. She's the 2nd player to reach the QF.

Congrats Serena! I am glad she kept it a straight set affair especially since she will either play Azarenka or a red hot Bencic. She kept the focus which was great to see.

She knew the danger and did not get into operation dig hole and pull a miracle to get out of it.
That might not have worked against V.

I think Serena has one more difficult match in QF (independent of who wins the match between Vika and Belinda). But, the SF and F will be a walk in the park. Of course, because those are walk in the park, Serena will dig a hole and then get out of them.

I didn't want to base any of my ideas of how Serena would do at Wimbledon off of her crazy FO experience because she has always had difficulty with the French Open. I think Serena will be ready. She needs to stay aggressive on the return and go for placement on the serve against Vika.
