Serena leads the series 16-3

http://www.wtatennis.com/head2head/player1/9044/player2/11289

We all know the dynamics in this rivalry. They've played twice this year in the last 2 months. Both matches went 3 sets and Vika had chances to win both (actually holding MP's in the Madrid contest).

Who ya got?

Serena in two...Vika has never taken a set from Serena on grass plus Serena seems to be starting well in her matches.

I agree. Serena in 2 tight ones. She's serving better than the earlier rounds and the return looks more dialed in.

Serena in three. She looks serious about this title.

I said Serena in 3. I like how Vika has progressed especially this spring. I like how she plays Serena to win. I actually think by next year she may get a match or two off Serena, although I'm hoping by next year they're only meeting in finals.

You can't help but feel Vika is due a win, but I think Serena really wants this. I was impressed with how composed Serena was during her match with Venus. If there was ever a match where she might have lost her head, it was this match against Venus.

Who has Vika played so far? Serena side of the draw was really, really tough as usual.

You could say the same about Maria, but she still hasn't gotten one. At least Vika has won over Serena in the last 2-3 years.

Serena plays better on grass than Azarenka...Vika plays good on hardcourts but not as good as Serena....I hope we dont see them getting emotional or start arguing...I think there is a lot of tension between them because of Sascha....Serena will not let Sascha win this one...

Are you calling Serena a liar? She's said herself there's no tension she warmly shook Vika's hand at the net. She's been asked this question and answered it. So has Vika. So I guess the only conclusion is you come on this board and mention this same thing again and again and thus call your favorite player a liar and a dishonest person.

This is Serena's last test. She had better focus from start to finish. She can easily beat everyone else left in the tournament.

Serena is out of the early rounds, she got rid of a whole lotta pressure by getting past Venus and she isn't sick with the flu for a change. Serena in two sets.

No active player gives Serena as much trouble as Vika, so I'll give her one set, but Serena will win in three.

Aside from Venus, who has Serena played to be honest. The Heather Watson match was tougher due to Serena showing nerves and making errors.

If the Serena that played today shows up tomorrow, Serena should win in 2, but, I think she still is feeling the pressure of a possible slam.

I agree, especially when you factor in Serena's serve (which many consider to be the greatest of all-time), vs. Vika's ... um, not-so-greatest-of-all-time serve. :snicker ;)

In fact, now that I think about it while writing this, I should change my vote to Serena in two.
