Just thinking about the match order now; the #1 player vs the defending champion is the warm up act for Stan and Roger! The level of disrespect isn't unprecedented! It just makes no sense to me; esp. if Federer smokes him due to a heavy mental edge over Wawrinka! They better hope this goes as predicted; a whitewash with Nole over Cilic and Stan taking his match to 4 or 5 sets (win or lose)! ;-)

Yeah good point, don't mind tho. At least I can watch it.

Also it gives you a slight edge in the final being finished earlier.

Exactly. I would prefer to go first. Get it over with as early as possible. Even if it's a long 5 setter, wouldn't people rather finish at, say, 9:00 PM than after midnight?

You guys better stop complaining! I've been having to get up at 1 a.m. for the last 10 days! :snicker

Fed's match will probably be over by 4am or later here and I have to get up at 7:30 :(

Ugh. I know what you're going through. I woke up at 1 am. It's 6 am now and I've got to be at my tennis team's practice from 9 to 12. Groan.

Yes it is better actually. Do players have an influence on this? I would go first for sure.

I doubt it. This decision was most likely influenced by ESPN to get Federer on in prime time in the US.

It's probably just me but I like the semi-roof on Ashe. Makes the stadium look better.

No doubt we're in for a juicy match.

Are you rooting for cilic tonight?

Not a hope. I actually like his aggressive tennis but let's face it, Cilic winning last year was not good for tennis and if he won again this year many would quit watching tennis for good and for good reason.

Novak should be fine today. I'm quite worried about fed though in the final.

Cilic is quite boring to watch alright.

Yeah, likewise. Stan can be a beast in the latter stages of slams as we've seen lately. Surface is obviously better for Roger but Stan hits so damn hard he gets Roger and just about everyone else out of position when he's in the zone. And he has massive power on both wings, forehand and backhand.

Stan has been very erratic, it's going to be another fed Novak U.S. open classic.
