4-0. Vintage beat down stuff... :popcorn

:snicker Guess there's something about (any) Swiss that brings out his best.

Except when he's injured, he'll tend to dispatch them two boys... :popcorn

Huge upset in the Novak match, he's struggling awfully.

Deuce in the first game! :eyepop

:nono Being bad my friend. Bernie getting some good depth of shot. It's really cool to see the way Novak steadily and inexorably works his way in until he's standing on the baseline and dictating.

Tomic's service motion is so truncated, the ball is in your service box before you know it.

Novak will hammer Tomic. Nole has been too good for everyone since he arrived in Asia, and Tomic is certainly not gonna ruffle that...

Yep. Unless Murray finds his best tennis, Novak will take home the trophy.

I like Novak's knack of getting early breaks in sets and then settling into a groove of tormenting his opponent. His last few wins against rafa in best of three, I think he broke in Rafa's first service game every single time...

Hoping you guys can see Tomic is in this thing to win it. Not that he will mind you, but he's playing some of the best tennis against Novak I've seen in a while. First time in a while I've seen someone make Novak go for a little more on his shots... and miss.

Sounds good! Unfortunately, can't see it, but I'm glad he's making a fist of it...

It's not easy to get Novak so off-balance, like Tomic just did. But I have no doubt Novak will prevail, even if he drops this first set to an inspired Bernard.

Even though he's only 22, you can see exactly what Tomic is going to look like as an old man.

Really nice tennis Kieran. He is making Novak bring out his best tennis and staying with him still. Good prep for the Mur-dal gauntlet ahead.

:laydownlaughing

So I'm not the only one who thought that. You can see exactly what he will look like when he's 60.

So what's come over Tomic this tournament? Did he get arrested for trashing a Chinese fireworks store and spend some time in a Chinese jail before the tournament?

Tennis Australia should be impressed and the execs should be sh*tting in their shoes. Playing the world #1 this closely validates Tomic. He's going to have even more say over how things go back home.
