Congrats to Andy!

I think it was a good day for both guys. Novak played better than he has the rest of the tournament, but still has to improve next week!

Congratulations to Muray! :clap

He really, really earned this one and had to work hard for it. Especially in that 18 minute game, he showed resiliency.

Damn! That was an amazing match from both players! They both wanted to win so bad and you could tell by the way they hustled throughout the match.

Congratulations for Andy Murray for finally beating Djokovic! He really needed to dig deep to finally beat Djokovic in eight tries.

As for Djokovic, man that guy is just very tough to beat these days. Let's see if he can finally win Cincy next week.

As much as Murray's second serve is maligned, Murray's first serve has considerably improved in the
last couple of years. He needs to keep the first serve percentage high (as he did today) to win matches.

Also, Murray proved today that he can physically and mentally stay in the match (this quality in him was suspect) despite it going for 3 hours.

:clap Congratulations to Andy. :clap

I thought he would have done it in two, but credit to Novak for fighting it out. Hopefully he rests up that arm and forgoes doubles from here on out.

Im very concerned about Novak's arm--he played his heart out though clearly not 100% fit. Congrats to Andy for hanging tough. Perhaps Novak should considering skipping Cincinnati and resting up for the US Open. There will be other years he can win it and add the missing Master's trophy.

Actually, I would not be surprised if Novak pulls the plug on Cincy. Even though Cincy would complete the set of Masters Trophies for Novak, USO is more important than Cincy. Especially with his arm problem, he should seriously consider quitting Cincy.

I agree. The arm could benefit from a few days of not being used. But why continue to play doubles if the arm is bothering you?? :nono
