He had to work for it, but he did it, nonetheless. Super start to the season. Better than in 2011

It was not a Bagel, It was not a breadstick, It was a pretzel twist.

I would have to agree with Carol that it was a fairly ugly match with both players have negative differentials of more than 10 each.

This is such a great title to win. Truly exceptional start of the year.

Think it would be good to skip Madrid now and get ready for the big task: Roland Garros.

They should make Madrid optional for a player who chooses to compete in Monte Carlo. But then, no one would show up for Madrid.

I don't know what happened to the King and his beautiful wife, they are not on stage.

I think it's a principality, so the guy is a prince. And his wife is at least 40. ;)

Why do you think that players would rather to play in Montecarlo than Madrid? maybe only Novak...:dodgy:

An easier way to deal with the situation is to say that they will count the best 8 of the 9 masters for players for ranking purposes and nothing is mandatory.

I really hope Tomas wins one of these soon. I am sending him a virtual hug. He really tried his hardest and didn't make it easy on Nole at all.

Nole - what a guy. He was grumpy, didn't like the conditions, was mumbling and still found a way to win. Sometimes winning ugly can be more satisfying than when it is straight forward, everything- going-your-way win. Congratulations darling, you are amazing.:clap:heart:

High five Nole fans. :D

He has 2 weeks off now, doesn't have to fly home as he is already there, he will most likely play Madrid, where he has a chance to extend his lead even more as he didn't play it last year.

Nole won't skip Madrid or Rome. Come on guys, he is in his prime, why would he skip an important event. Skipping events is good idea for old/injured folks, not for folks in their prime.
