Major questions about Eugenie, something indeed is radically wrong.

May be her arms are injured due to signing too many contracts with sponsors. :snicker

She needs to learn to care about more than grand slams. It's pathetic. There is absolutely no reason she can go toe to toe with the best in the world at slams and then loses to players outside the top 100 at other events. How can your game REALLY change that much from one event to the next?

she seems to have lost muscle and actually looks sickly.I think it was a bad idea to drop Saviano...she has a lot to defend from now until Wimbledon..:popcorn

this Charleston court is like a hardcourt...no sliding just ballbashing from the likes of Keys.

This was an important week for Madison. When you suddenly find yourself ranked 18 because of a few good results the best thing you can do just win matches you're seeded to win. That's the fault in Bouchard's game. She only wins matches she should win when it's at a grand slam. We'll see if this play continues from Keys but its a promising sign.

Keys is not going to be able to hit through Kerber. She should have changed her strategy, but like most power players, she does not have the variety to do much else.

Like what I'm seeing from Madison when it got tight late in that second.

Congratulations to both ladies for a very entertaining match. Experience and guile won out over youth and strength. Hopefully both ladies can take something from this match and use it in future matches. Kerber has a tendency to fold in finals; today she found a way to work through Madison's ground-strokes and her own nerves. Madison, please learn that hitting the ball hard then harder is not strategy. Although the clay courts of Charleston were hard, they were still clay courts and can keep balls in play that would have been winners on grass or hard-courts.

Hopefully Madison takes from this loss a desire to truly improve and work the points. Kerber exposed several weakness in her game. Madison does not like to bend for the ball and is determined to end every point with a scorching winner. She will win some but eventually lose more if she keeps this up in the future.

Congrats to Kerber, it's nice seeing her get a victory again in a final.

Congratulations to Sania Mirza on becoming the first Indian Woman to become #1 in doubles.
She and Martina won the doubles event at Charleston to make that happen.

They together also are the current #1 Doubles Team. Also, they have won all three events
since they started playing together (Indian Wells, Miami and Charleston) and are undefeated
as pair (18-0).

Here is the article and highlight videos from the WTA website.

Their goal is to win at least one Slam and finish as YE #1 this year. Seems attainable,
especially considering Errani and Vinci have split.
