Very surprised to see that Canada has never beaten Japan in six tries! :eyepop
That is going to change this time around..hopefully!:)

I'm rooting for Japan! But Popsicle could be the deciding factor in this one I'm afraid.

Last year Canada was without Raonic and Pospisil, so no wonder Japan defeated them. This year is another story.
Regardless of the end result, I am very interested to see Milos vs. Kei.

I hope it makes it that far! 2-2 and Kei and Milos battling it out to advance in the Davis Cup. Another great story in their young rivalry.

In a sudden change of events, Switzerlands's top ranked player (no, Not that one)
Marti (some one ranked #292) quits from the team in protest as the captain did
not select him for singles play.

Despite that, suddenly swiss's chances look little up beat, as Belgium's top
ranked player (David Goffin ranked around 20) also quit citing injuries.

If players keep quiting at this rate, finally they will come down to your
local clubs looking for people to play in DC

I would love to play. Maybe I'll change my citizenship to whichever country needs my services. People do it to get to the Olympics all the time.

"Former Davis Cup Participant! would look nice on my resume.

Young 18 year old Kokkinakis who has travelled with the Aussie DC team before and did play a rubber, will play Rosol, that will be a test for him.Tomic is our other singles player,Hewitt and Groth will team up for the doubles.I feel Aussie has a good chance of a upset.Fingers crossed...;)

At GB vs. US, Young getting slaughtered by Murray. the only chance for US to win is Isner winning today, the Bryans winning tomorrow and Young winning....ok never mind.

I would have selected Johnson instead of Young. The Americans never learn from their mistakes.

Murray going into another funk? After winning the first two sets 1 and 1 in 47 minutes, he suddenly drops the third 6-4.
