We get it, you watch nothing but Rafa. Wondering what will you watch once he retires, your tapes, over and over?:devil

Me too, I will watch the tapes over and over which will be very entertaining ;):popcorn

:snigger

... just like Nadal v. Berdych did.

Cruel! :deadhorse :p

Mmm... that did come out the wrong way. Most of us thought it would be Rafa in three (and not the other way around). Berdych will have an "in" to Murray's game with his coach, so I wouldn't be surprised if Tomas beats Muzza. If he makes it to the finals against Nole (or Stan), it will be a battle.

I can't believe I'm saying this but I think Berdych is going to win this one. His performance against Rafa really impressed me, particularly his nerve on the big points and his ability to stick to his game plan. He hasn't dropped a set this tournament by the way.

I actually think this one goes 5. I'm not certain who will win, but I would give a slight edge to Muzz.

Sid, with Fed's tumble out of the tournament to Seppi, and Rafa stumbling around as though there's no cartilage left in his knees, how long do you think the "big 4" will continue as they are?

Not for long I imagine, I think Nadal might have some trouble staying there with quite a lot to defend soon.

I'm more sure that Nadal will win the French Open now than I was at Doha.
I mean the fact he made the QF of AO without good preparation, is a huge sign that he's in for a big year (at French Open and US Open at least, maybe even Wimbledon too).
To put this AO into perspective, Nadal lost his comeback event in 2013, and it was on clay!

Equally it could be a year he wins nothing. Imagine if Novak wins the French once and for all, Nadal btw has done zilch at Wimbledon for years now and most don't see that changing anytime soon so that leaves just the USO to redeem himself if Novak wins RG. Will be an interesting year for sure.

Novak needs to deliver this year. Seeing fedal decline is seeing his future, he is not that much younger. Now is the time to capitalize.

Djokovic looked closer in 2013RG than he looks now, but hey if Cilic can win the US Open anything is possible.
Whatever the case, when is the last time a player apart from Nadal (2013) won 2 slams in a year?
All the way back in 2011, so winning ONE slam in a year is nothing to sneeze at.

Djokovic has been watching Federer decline since 2012 (or 2010), but Federer still pushed Djokovic to the absolute limit at Wimbledon as recently as 2014.
Seems like Djokovic has almost no control over what happens to him (especially in his last 4 slam meetings with Nadal).

Why are we talking about Nadal and Djokovic here? There are plenty of other threads for his adoring fans.

Rafa has nothing to defend actually. He really didn't do anything last year aside Madrid and RG. He won't be leaving the top 4.

QF is a garbage result for any great player. But there is a lot of time between now and RG and he is the default favorite regardless of his form going into RG. Nadal's proven he can win that tournament with his C game and it's up to Novak to turn it around after a disastrous performance last year.

^ QF is not garbage for any great player (and its impressive after only playing 7 matches since July).
Sampras made SF of RG only once, and Federer is a regular QF loser (and 6 first round exits at slams).
Anyway, back to Murray-Berdych......

^ Federer did that when he was a nobody. And we all know Sampras was garbage on clay so bad comparison. I don't care if Rafa played 7 matches since last July or 0 matches since 2012...he, nor his fans, would ever be happy with a QF at AO and getting embarrassed by someone he had beaten 17 straight.

Let's keep this focused on Murray/Berdych. There are more than enough places to discuss Nadal, Federer, Djokovic, Roland Garros, etc.

Thanks!
