The fans don't vote for this award, the players do.

Sorry but I don't believe it :D

You don't believe a lot of what is staring you in the face so I'm afraid I can't help you there.

"Federer has been selected by his peers as winner of the Stefan Edberg Sportsmanship Award for the 11th time." Peers = other players on tour, not fans voting on some dumb polls. But feel free to still not believe it.

"Stefan Edberg Sportsmanship Award" .....yeah, that name tells me everything why he has been selected by peers as winner, I' m sure the peers gave their vote.....sure :) The whole thing is sponsored by Moët & Chandon and the 'funny' commercial by Federer.......come on! :laydownlaughing

Really? that's is your opinion but this board is full of Federer's fans who are now in the Novak's wagon just for convenience and I don't understand why, Novak is playing much better than when Federer was younger, Federer is still playing well and Novak beats him every time they play each either. And don't make excuses because Roger's age, Novak is better player than him in all the ways and probably is going to break all the Roger's records so I don't finish to understand the hate to Nadal, it's sounds already like a joke
This is another one of your silly rants you keep going on and on about even when Federer fans have already told you countless times some of us actually like how Djokovic plays tennis as well. It's really not that hard to grasp and I can't be bothered to search for old posts as both I and others have told you this many times already. As for a 28 year old in a very physically demanding sport and in his prime not being at an advantage over a 34 year old in the final stages of his career, I pity your logic. I really do. You must love the movie Cocoon. It was fiction though, sorry. People do actually get older and slower. If Novak is so superior to Roger then why is the h2h 21-21 ? Why did it take till Roger got old for it to get closer ? Come on, I know you have a great reply to this one for us all. Why also is it still extremely tough for a 28 year old vastly superior (according to you) player to beat an old fart who could easily have retired by now? Again, I'm sure you'll come up with a wonderful enlightening reply full of great
factual and statistical brilliance to back up your claim.

It's not a silly rants it's a fact if you like it or not, if they would be the same age I'm sure Novak would have beaten before and now, he is just better player

Sorry to inform you, Carol but facts are real. What you're dreaming about is not. We can't teleport either guy back or forth in time to make them the same age so it's all just pointless nonsense you're spouting there. They're both great players and the fact that there's not much separating a 34 year old Federer from a 28 year old Djokovic completely contradicts the poop you're babbling on about. Federer's break point conversion is terrible for years and is accounting for a lot of the big matches lost but don't let facts get in the way of reality. I suggest you watch some matches from 2004-2007 and if you think Federer (who is still admittedly very good a lot of the time) now is the same as then, well you have issues. Major issues requiring a sight check and a reality check. In fact you contradict yourself constantly here. A few days ago you basically downgraded Novak's achievements in 2015 saying Federer's old, Nadal is lacking confidence, Murray's inconsistent, blah blah, etc. So using the Federer part, it was all down to him being old a few days ago and yet now today 'cos you forgot to take the blue pill you decided to type this as per above:

"And don't make excuses because Roger's age, Novak is better player than him in all the ways and probably is going to break all the Roger's records".

Yeah, makes sense. Always good to completely contradict yourself. :cover

I guess you weren't following tennis in the many, many years that Fed was winning this award before Stefan Edberg became his coach - and in any case, your snide assertion would only serve to impugn the integrity of the ATP management, and since it's the players who make the choice, your assertion becomes even more risible.

A few days ego I said that Novak is playing the best BUT THIS YEAR he doesn't have so much competition due to Nadal is not playing his best, Roger is still playing well but NOT his best and the others are very inconsistent or with injuries. BUT it doesn't mean that Novak is not better player than Federer because he is and AGAIN, if they would played years ego being the same age Novak would have beaten him many times and I don't think Roger would have won 17 GS
No contradictions, just what it's happening. I don't need to take any pill but you should do it, maybe you could see the reality more relaxed  :p :nono

Novak is the better player now, but both at the same age, IMO there would have been no question that Fed would be the better player, and deprive Novak of way more Grand Slams than vice versa, therefore a very good chance when it all came out in the wash that Federer would have 17 GS, maybe more... especially if Novak had been good enough to take care of Nadal (because of his 2HBH), a couple of times before RG finals.

A propos of nothing in particular, for a dyed-in-the-wool Nadal fan you sure are carrying a lot of water for Djokovic - lol

So, in a few years, let's see just what the probability turned out to be that Djokovic would break all of Roger's records --- allowing for the fact that already some are beyond his reach, but we'll take you at your word for the time being.

Draw starting soon I suspect. Social collapse unavoidable if Fedalovic are in the same group.

Initially the mayor butchered my fellow Mergea's name into a Merhea, but the second time he corrected it. Good job!
