^ Isner, Nishikori and Gulbis are only a handful of points behind Murray so depending on how they all do there could be a significant change around in the the top 10.

That depends on whether you consider making a final a good tournament for someone who has made 20+ finals and won 17 slams. IMO, Roger's career absolutely is greater if he is 1-0 in RG finals. Better H2H vs. Nadal and 17-3 in GS finals. That's definitely greater IMO.

Lendl won enough to be an all time great but his place is a little lower than it should have been due to that laughable record in GS finals.
I don't think it can be about if you consider losing in a final a good tournament. At least reaching a final is a better result than not reaching the final. In my opinion it would be OK to for example consider a 7:0 final record better than 7:4 if the first player played the tournament only 8 times and the second one 15 times, but if both played it similarly often, reaching the final more frequently should be considered the better resume.

So Bautista Agut wins his first title ever on grass. So he may be one to watch at Wimbledon too. I've been a fan of his for a couple years now but definitely this year. Hope he can do well. Though, I don't remember where he is in the draw. So I don't want him taking Fed out or anything. But I'd like to see him do well.

One thing I'm ticked about.... Ryan Harrison managed to qualify and got Dimitrov in the first round. He has the absolute worst draw luck. Obviously, it wouldn't look like that if he were better and won some of those tough matches he's been given. But I do believe he's top 100 level and top 50 level. But I mean, he's had Nadal and other amazing players in the first and second round of most of his majors and big tournaments. Can't catch a break. But in this match I'm mad because I want to see Dimitrov do well. I'm a bigger fan of his. But I was hoping Harrison could just get to a third round or something to add some points. But... nope. I'd be rather unhappy if he upset Dimitrov. So I'm still pulling for Dimitrov and he's the better player, so it should be all good. But you never know. Obviously, that's how these things role. Somebody has to lose for another to get anywhere.

It's incredible how often this has happened to Harrison. He must feel cursed. ;)

Here are some examples of his running into Top 10 players very early:

2013 USO - First round: Nadal
2013 AO - Second round: Djokovic
2012 USO - Second round: Juan Martin del Potro
2012 Wimbledon - Second round: Djokovic
2012 AO - First round: Murray
2011 Wimbledon - Second round: Ferrer
2011 RG - First round: Soderling (ranked 5 at the time)

He could meet Murray in the 3rd round. I would expect him to get there, but I don't see his game troubling Andy too much.

Realistically I don't think anyone can take fed out before semis. But he's probably gonna take himself out before that. I hope not tho

Sadly that's the problem and a big possibility although to give opponents credit, Muller is very good on grass and Benneteau's a tougher opponent than his ranking would imply too. Too often these days Federer plays an inexpicably poor service game out of nowhere with no pressure from his opponent, just poor serving and spewed errors and one break per set is sadly all it takes.

He better not lose before the semis in this draw. Stick a 100 pound fork in him if he does.

I wonder will Federer have to play any matches on Court 2 during this tourney. The Great and Wise at Wimbledon treated the previous seven-time champ to just such a humiliation. The French treated Rafa poorly when it came to asking him to begin his defence of his title on Lenglen.

Will Wimbledon treat Roger badly?

Or is a better way of looking at it this: will the fans on the outside court get a chance to watch a seven-time champ hack away against N.O. Body?

Really doesn't matter to me where he plays as long as he gets deep.

The last 10 years Wimbledon has been won by one of the big 4. I'm pretty sure it will continue.

I am expecting both Grigor and Milos to improve on their previous Wimbledon campaigns.

Cheers everyone from my trip to my initial homeland Romania.
I was silent since I left Canada, having other things to do than being on the net all day long.
Among others, watching tennis on 2 sometimes 3 channels at the same time.
In the Halep frenzy which I am living now day after day, I thought I will pull up this thread where I predicted a Raonic and Dimitrov breakthrough, both actually surpassing my expectations.
Very happy to see Novak still in, although yesterday he kept me on the edge.
Tide is turning in tennis and that is a good thing. Milos and Grigor might not win this one, I still hope Novak does, but in the future is most likely.

Well said herios, I have not been able to keep up this last year or so but the last week has shown many new talents on the horizon, men and women alike. All good.
