For once Novak wins the set 6-2 and could've won 3 of them by that scoreline now.

This match is over now I'd say. Probably 6-4 or worse in the 4th.

This is pathetic. Sorry Novak fans but Wimbledon appears to have been a fluke :(

Different surface, different opponent, different day. Djokovic and Murray often play it some version of this.

Talking about him being ahead in every single set, barely winning the first in a TB that he should've won 6-2, losing the 2nd in a TB when he could also have won it 6-2 and struggling to hold his lead here. Back to his inability to back up breaks.

Then perhaps it's one of his tragic flaws, and one, by implication, he can overcome, if a player exploits it. But it doesn't make 2014 Wimbledon a "fluke."

That's not what I meant by fluke. He played great. The fluke was referring to for once having no major lapses in focus. He's all over the place here by comparison and back to his up and down self since 2012.

Different matchup. For starters Murray can return serve unlike a certain opponent in the Wimbledon final

True but even so Novak shouldn't be failing to back up all these breaks so often.

After Novak, Andy is up there in the return of serve department.

Now it's up to Andy to respond. What's he got in the "I Will What I Want?" Channel your inner Nishikori, Andy!

Tougher to backup serve when your opponent is putting returns back in play. One of Roger's problems at Wimbledon is that his return was so pathetic it didn't give Djokovic a chance to get tight. All he had to do was spin in 90 MPH serves and Roger wasn't going to get them back in play.

Agreed. Lots of breaks should be expected. Also Murray had an insane streak of Forehand there. Looked like Delpo for a minute.

As I said…not really an apt comparison.

Most of the failures to back up his own serve after breaking were lame errors hit by Novak rather than return winners though in this match.

Agree 100% that Andy's one of the best returners but one of the breaks Novak gave back in set 2 was helped greatly by a shot blasted miles long by Novak, then a lame FH in the bottom of the net followed by Andy hitting a great FH to take it. Remove the 2 lame errors by Novak and he still didn't p1$$ away the break.

Hasn't been an overwhelming match from either player I'd agree...but then they hardly ever are between these 2. The one real quality match I can think of was AO 2012

Murray looks tired, pretty poor sign if he is gassed after just 3 sets.

I much prefer Novak v Federer match ups

They've had some classics at the USO! You can't beat coming back from 2 match points in the semi's twice! :clap

Or you can't have any worse result than that from the other perspective :D
