Tomas Berdych fans are not happy about proceedings. His mother has had to re-arrange her evening and will now be watching a Downton Abbey re-run. The other, a 57 year old unemployed painter & decorator from Wyoming is now meeting up with friends for a bonsai tree pruning tutorial.

:laydownlaughing:lolz::clap Harsh man :D

OK, there must be a girlfriend, so that would be 3.

Apparently, he's very funny on his twitter feed, beyond expectations. I'm going to follow. Will report back.

Fine for the NFL…13-27 other guys will cover their asses on a bad day. They even have "special teams." In singles tennis, it's you, and your opponent for the next however many hours. "Iph" you can't play, there's no one to cover for you, that's true, but when you do play, there is also no one to cover for you, or relieve. Kei and Tomas would never have bailed if they didn't have to. I would tell this to your friends who like team sports but look down on tennis: those who play team sports tend to specialize. Tennis players have to do everything well. And they have to do it alone, for as long as it takes.

Point taken! However, in Berdych's and Nishikori's case..."phor as long as it takes" = "not at all". Phootball players will try to play iph they have broken phemurs, while tennis players will retire iph they have hurt pheelings. Obviously dipherent mentalities.

Waiting 3 more days for the final means both guys will be lacking match play and possibly rusty. Quite possible it'll be a horrible error filled final now.

They'll be all right. We're talking about the best two tennis players in the world who will engage one another in 20+ stroke rallies. They'll get in the groove soon enough. It's not like they haven't touched a racket in a decade.

Last night , it appears that the ball is bouncing high on the cente court , we asked Rafa last night in the players parking entrance and he said the court was Good.
