All evened up. I have to say, I've underestimated Raonic's improvements. Can he hold his nerve for the 3rd?

I've been trying to narrow down why I'm not a fan of Raonic and I think it's because he makes tennis boring. Non - tennis and tennis - fans alike are drawn to variety, great shot - making, rallies. The crowd gets pumped which then pumps the players up...thus ensues more fantastic shot - making. With Raonic ' s style of play, there's no opportunity for that. Have you ever seen a more subdued Italian crowd?

I agree... all that and he also looks a bit like an Orc(see above pic). Making omelettes and trying not to get egg on the computer. Very happy Novak won the 2nd set.

I voted for Novak in 3 because unlike everyone else, I didn't think he looked all that dominant this week. Figured Milos would steal a set and then Novak would right the ship. Milos just dropped serve in the decider. So we'll see who will be doing the feeling in the next 20 minutes.

That is understandable moxie, if you do not watch him in his every match. I follow him closely and watch most of his matches and he is improving month to month.
His agenda was too have a better clay season than in the past, and he's done that and some.

I did notice improvements last summer, but I haven't watched him much since. Same is true of Isner…he's improved his all-around game, but people tend to write these guys off as big bombers and don't really see that they've worked on their games.

^ Has Isner worked on his game? I could see Raonic is no longer a statue and there's improvement but Isner?

They just mentioned that this is Raonic's longest match of his career already, and this is in a master, not slam.

I heard them say longest 3-setter.
