Yeah, it seems this is the Fed that's left these days. Gets to a TB and plays a horrendous one (Indian Wells 3rd set against Novak, 3rd set against Novak again at Wimbledon. Donated a ton of pathetic errors in each), or gets to the business end of a set and when serving to stay in it you just know he'll hit some utterly abysmal shots and play like a complete baboon :nono

Losing to Novak is one thing, losing to guys like Tsonga and Wawrinka in a big match is a lot different. If he wants to show himself as a real threat at USO he has to win one of these 2 events IMO.

Agreed, Monte Carlo was a disaster and if he's going to lose this and he probably will, I'd prefer if it was mostly down to Tsonga outplaying him rather than him projectile vomitting errors all over the court.

Well, he's certainly riding his luck this year, I'll agree with you there. First Rafa's back gifts him an easy slam in Oz, then Federer plays generously lousy to gift him an MS title on clay...
