RE: NBA Playoffs

James Brown & Gil Scott-Heron really started it back in the 70's. Sugarhill shined a light on it. Then Grandmaster Flash, Run DMC and Curtis Blow brought it to the streets. The rest is history as they say...

RE: NBA Playoffs

After trading runs, Spurs jump ahead 10 at the half (on a flurry of 3's) 65-55

I give up trying to figure out this series. I know HCA is a huge deal in bball and most sports but we are talking 40 point swings with the change in venues this whole series. I'd never expect this to be the more wacky of the 2 conference finals.

It might turn out to be the least interesting 7 game series ever.

Final in S.A. = 117-89. Can Spurs go to OKC and close this out?

I stick by the thought that OKC was going to win game 6 regardless of the result tonight but I definitely didn't see Spurs winning big tonight. Figure it'd be close to 50-50 with a slight edge to Thunder due to the momentum they found in OKC.

Can they, perhaps, will they, NO

Yeah. I don't really believe it either. I was trying to be upbeat and optimistic. :lolz: But I do like their chances in a game 7 at home.

Why in Hell would Balmer bid 2 billion in cash for the Clippers... He has no stadium deal..no tv deal .. The team was only valued at 550 million maybe offerring 1 Billion but 2 billion is such a vulgar display of wealth..now that bigot Sterling will make a profit of at least 1. 4 billion(600 million in taxes).. btw Sterling only paid 12-3 million in 1979.. Man.. the Devil is very busy these days..

2 billion is absurd when he could get it with probably 1 billion or just over. I'd think 550 mill would be way too low. Clips are in LA, they have one of the best teams in the league, and also one of the most marketable teams with Paul and Griffin.

I can tell already this is going to be one fun game just with all the garbage between Stephenson and Lebron. I have a feeling Lance might have been mistaken in thinking his game 5 antics is what led to Lebron doing bad.

Also of note is that Sterling is trying to sue the NBA for $1 billion. The main concern is that he is no longer an NBA owner and I'm glad that is taken care of but it will be interesting to see how that goes. In listening to some commentary the NBA has that "private club" defense to stand on which basically means they can do whatever they want.

Probably over but we've seen crazy comebacks. Certainly Indy will have to come out of the blocks right away and start chipping away.

Just one of those "Hibbert" games where he is doing nothing right, just playing in slow motion and the result is Bosh is going nuts and the Heat are getting tons of 2nd chance points.

Complete blowout start to finish and you got to wonder if the Pacers will make major changes in the offseason.

Miami onto the finals and I must say they are looking a lot better than I figured they would, especially Wade and the bench players. I might switch my guess from SA winning fairly easy to it going 7 games. I don't think OKC would take Miami.

Honestly, I did not even watch this one it was that predictable.

Who has home in the finals?

Whoever wins out West. And it has finally switched to the normal format of 2-2-1-1-1 instead of 2-3-2. I always thought the 2-3-2 is way more advantageous for the road team than 2-2-1-1-1 is.

Yeah I didn't watch the game either, and I honestly woke up expecting to see that the Heat won via blowout.
