RE: NBA Playoffs

^Hey, I am ok with Bron, I just never liked the idea of how Miami was put together.;)

I am aware of the numbers. I also agree with the voter's fatigue as well, to a point. But like I said, it was my subjective observation. I almost watched every Bulls game that year because of him. He was my MVP. No disrespect to Bron. Bron could have gotten the MVP every year in the last 6-7 and nobody could say anything.

Fair enough, I will admit part of it is that I have to hate all Chicago sports teams aside from when I was young and MJ was on the Bulls. It is a birth right. Rose was a great player who was only going to get better. He wasn't on Lebron's level but he might have got there. KD has upped the ante this year and a meeting in the finals would be quite intriguing though I do think the Clippers and Spurs would present some very bad matchup issues with the Heat.

I'd probably take 2011 Rose over Westbrook, but Russell has surpassed him in the past couple of years in part due to Derrick's injury. Westbrook is a bit smarter when it comes to recognizing when he has a strength advantage over the defender and actually posts him up (he did that to Chris Paul in last night's game on multiple occasions). Both are pretty similar in many ways, and I fear for their longevity given that they rely so much on athleticism, meaning that once they start losing a bit of that (especially with all their injuries), they'll fade. Improving their respective jump shots will go a long way.

No question I'd take Rose over Westbrook back before the injuries. Rose is/was more of an all around player and is a significantly better shooter. Westbrook is pretty much all athleticism at this point but it is a whole hell of a lot of athleticism. Westbrook is a streaky shooter so I wouldn't expect him to keep shooting the way he has the past few games.

Drose is a better pure point guard than Westbrook however his playing style has been the catalyst for his knee injuries IMO. Drose wil have to change his playing style to stay healthy.

Heat aren't playing a lick of defense and Lebron has 3 shot attempts with 3 minutes to go in the half. This is the type of thing the Nets need but they are only up 2 because, again, the Heat role players are hurting them too much.

Lebron decided to do it all himself the last few minutes but the Nets are matching them shot for shot. Any hope to make this series interesting is if the Nets win tonight.

RE: NBA Playoffs

I missed the 2nd half but just looking at the box score the problem the first 2 games is that Miami is getting too much production from the bench. Brooklyn has next to no chance in games where Chalmers and the bench are contributing as much as they did tonight. Obviously Williams won't play that poor again. I wouldn't totally rule out the Nets taking 2 at home but more likely they will split there and the series will end in 5.

Really exciting game going on in LA so far. Both offenses are just too good for the defenses to stop.

Yea the first 2 games were exciting displays of offense but neither were competitive. This one has both, should be a great 4th quarter.

Just from the few min I've been watching this 2nd half, the refs seem to be calling it pretty close.

The 1-1 game is pivotal and both teams know it. They both really want it. Let's see if the refs swallow their whistles any in the 4th

KD is on fire right now. I think you're right, since he won the MVP award, he has settled down.
