Kind of funny there, the Thunder got it down to 21 and Rivers was going to put Paul and Griffin back in and then the Clippers hit back to back 3's and they jogged back to the bench. OKC would need 5 Reggie Millers on the court to come back in this one.

So far, 50 three pointers have been jacked up by both teams combined. Still nowhere near what Hawks did (was it 44?) in one of the games against Indy.

Yeah but a combined 22-51 which is excellent. Of course it helps that Paul was 8-9.

RE: NBA Playoffs

Kind of meant to do a thread before the 2nd round about predictions.

SA over Portland in 5. Aldridge will get his but I think SA will bottle up the rest of the team including Lillard. Dallas' uptempo play and Dirk's shooting really hurt them and this is just a different matchup.

OKC over LAC in 7. I will admit I was thinking it'd be in 6 before yesterday and it still could be but the way LAC torched them (and not just Paul's shooting) makes me think it will either go the distance or LAC will win in 6. Paul won't have another game shooting like that but he was also breaking down the Thunder in the pick and roll, in the paint, etc. and that should continue to be a problem for OKC.

Washington over Indy in 6. To be clear that was my prediction before game 1. Washington is a lot better than I thought and it doesn't seem like Indy can turn this thing around. And with Hibbert playing incredibly poor Washington has the better frontcourt in this series and more threats on the perimeter. Simply too much for Paul George and David West to overcome.

Heat over Nets in 6. It will likely be a tough series as Pierce and KG will definitely bring it more than they did vs. Toronto. At this point in their careers this is what they play for. They aren't winning another championship but I bet they believe they can knock Lebron out of the playoffs one last time. Ultimately the Heat will win though.

Was a landslide victory and rightly so. That has long been a goal of his and it has to be a big relief. Maybe it will help him relax in these playoffs as he has mostly been sub par for his standards.

The Nets were put together to win a championship but dismantle the champs, Miami first. We shall see.. I doubt it

They needed Brook Lopez both overall and specifically vs. the Heat if they were to win a title. KG can turn back the clocks only so much and only for so long and overall the Nets won't take as much advantage against the Heat's weak bigs.

Mark Jackson was fired. I must say I find it pretty surprising and can only think there was personal issues between him and the upper management. They had a slightly disappointing season after a real breakthrough last year. And it doesn't help that the West is ridiculously strong.

Ridiculous decision. Maybe they can replace him with "one of the best coaches in the NBA" Scott Brooks after he gets fired if OKC lose.

Bad decision for sure. It's not Mark's fault Bogut is out. I kept waiting to see if Reinsdorf would fire Thib, but no word yet.

Miami's been sitting on ice now for more than a week....they could come out crusty or super-fresh.

I think they learned their lesson from last year, where a Rose-less Bulls team led by lil Nate Robinson came into South Beach and stole the first game in R2.

I know. I know. A very sad thing. So much talent and ability wasted riding the pine.

RE: NBA Playoffs

Solid half overall. Interesting that they are pretty much only having Lebron post up. He has gotten some good looks but missed a few layups. Brooklyn has gotten some good looks and are playing the kind of game they want, not letting the Heat get out in transition.
