I hope Genie pulls this off. Her returns were really solid today but Maria will take advantage of her second serves too. If I am Genie, I take a bit off my first serve and try not to get behind in rallies with lame second serves. Good luck.

Murat I like your comment that Eugenie should tinker with her first serve to keep the % high. Second serves against Maria could be fatal. All Canadians are hoping for that magic upset, me included. The reality of the matter, can Eugenie counter attack Maria's powerful returns and aggression? I will go out on a Canadian Maple Tree limb and say Eugenie in 3.

I can't imagine Bouchard winning this. Her only chance is to come out of the blocks firing to stun Pova. If it goes to three sets, Pova makes the final. Bouchard looked like she was shedding tears after winning the QF. She will probably collapse from the occasion just like Stosur and Muguruza did.

Ditto hoergren... I quite like both players, so not really too concerned who wins. I expect Sharapova to win, but if Genie makes her big breakthrough here then I'll be happy - albeit for slightly different reasons.
