Another set point to Serbia. Stan is crumbling after a good start to the TB.

Stan almost crumbled because he hurt his wrist/hand when he won the 4-2 tiebreak point. He was in pain - no doubt. Couldn't stop for treatment because it was a tiebreak. Stan dropped the next three points, as he was trying to shake it off. Stan was fortunate to win it when the Serb DF, and then missed an overhead ala Djokovic smash to hand the set and match to Stan. I don't know what would have happened had the Serb manage to win the fourth, though I'm sure Stan would have taken an MTO. The Swiss were fortunate there. Now they have more options.

If Stan is still hurting, Federer can play with one of the others and try to close it out in the doubles.
Or, they can play the others in the doubles, and then rely on Federer to close it out.

Didn't realize he hurt his wrist 'cos I was kind of flicking between match and doing some on the laptop. Hopefully he's ok.

Spartan Stan. The post match interview was in French and I was having trouble hearing it because of the stream. But he might have said something to the effect that he just hurt it in that moment and had to play through the pain; it was ok during the warmups and rest of the match. Though to me he looked tired, off and on, some brilliant points and some awful, but good enough to beat his opponent.

Definitely. The season has only just begun but he came into the AO not really match tough. Coming up to hard court season now before the clay season kicks in so he should really start hitting his stride there.
