Murray isnt Fed or Rafa but itd be one of the very top wins of Noles career to win that final in front of that crowd

I'm glad Murray won - a much better final now - but JJ did himself proud. He'll learn and should be hungry for more of this...

Thus the reason I figured Murray would win easier than he has. I cant wait for Jerzy to become more polished

Yeah once he improves his ROS especially and ground game he'll be an absolute animal. A bit gutted he didn't capitalize on his 4-1 lead in set 3. Anyway best thing for Jerzy is the truckload of cash he made here as money issues are no more for him now and he should be getting some decent sponsorships soon with any luck and he'll only keep getting better. Glad at least one of the young guns is doing something big and he well and truly backed up the promise shown initially back in Paris '12 with a deep run like this.

Agreed that it wouldn't have been much of a final if Janowicz had won. Jerzy has to work on that return and be a little bit more consistent at the baseline to win this type of match. Were he to get those things in place, I don't think Murray would be able to beat him on grass or probably even hards.

Once JJ lost that 4-1 3rd set lead it was obvious it was all over

Well the good thing is he won their first encounter in Paris and knowing you can beat a top player gives you belief next time you play. Losing that 4-1 lead in set 3 is something he hopefully won't do in future once he improves in all departments.

I am sure more good things to come from Jerzy. I just hope he'll pace himself and stay fit.
And hopefully soon in the top 10. He's entered in the top 20 with his win and until fall he still defends almost nothing.
Andy was clutch when he needed to be.

Yeah moved up to number 17 and the money he won will do his career and confidence wonders. Looking forward to seeing him play in hardcourt and indoor season and making a run at top 10.
