Novak is playing good and looking after his own game, that's true, and he's pressuring Berdych brilliantly.

And Berdych is predictable in how he's reacting to that pressure...

I think its a bit of both. After going down 0-3, novak started producing his best tennis. But nobody is winning 6 out of 7 games on grass against berdych without giving you some help. I am a nole fan but lets get real, berdych is historic head case. Novak, to his credit, forced berdych into taking riskier shots.

So there's choking going on both sides of the net, eh?

Thank you Riotbeard. That was my point about Berd.

LOL and we are up a break in the third. Let's see that Del Potro - Djokovic semi!

IF that happens, it will be three straight players Novak's will face that have had "success" against him on the grass.

Yup, potentially 4, with Murray in the final. Turned out that the draw wasn't as great as expected. But Novak is in an excellent shape, it's okay.

Novak is looking great, alright, and very cocky too, which helps...

This just proves what a fluke that come-from-behind win over Djokovic was in Madrid. Rare display of Berdych holding his head and his nerve, that one.

So I think Novak and JPDP finished at exactly the same time. I was watching MP for Del Potro, saw him win and celebrate, then I saw Djokovic celebrate. Good stuff.

I've seen this story unfold before. That's why I was hesitant to even give Berdych a set or two. Djokovic will use Berdy's pace against him often enough and hit to the open court. Tomas had to serve great and do everything at a high level to make this competitive, Nole just needed to play his game.

Novak's serving this tournament has been sublime. 16 aces is impressive. Not quite Gulbis impressive (Ernie served 30 against T-Berd last year) but then again at least he wins more than 1-2 matches. If we get the Murray v Djokovic final as predicted serving that well will really stand to Novak. Interesting that Berdych who typically serves a bit faster had almost the same average 1st and second serve speed as Djokovic. I'm still hoping we see Janowicz in the final though personally.

OK, I just turned it on. You're telling me that 2 makeable FH's (one overcooked and the other dumped in the net) isn't mental)?

You might want to read my previous post. I still think it's pretty poor to make statements on a match you weren't watching... just saying.

Give me a break. People do that all the time. Do you honestly want to try to act like you never have? I know better.
