I thought this match was ovah. Been watching the Broncos. Surprised to see the Dr leading in the set and Novak looking like the old Nole just now

Wishful thinking katie

Kskate has never given any indication that that would be her wish. And he sure wasn't looking like New Nole in that last game.

Are you scolding me mommy? katie's a big girl and can speak for herself I think.

Just making a comment, like anyone. Nole playing badly bringing out the snark?

No moxie, you were insinuating yourself and scolding me. And no, I'm not getting snarky because Novak got distracted and lost form momentarily. Mikhail played out of his mind and my guy got tight. It's okay.

Some brave fight from Youzhny, but he's out of gas. Obviously, the crowd knows it, as they are streaming to the exits.

Good statement in the 4th from Nole. That semi should be interesting with Stan in such good form.

Well hopefully Nole forgets the crowd for the Stan match, cause they'll be on fire for him as they were today in his Murray match.

They battled like crazy in Oz. It promises to be a good one. Stan's first time in a Slam semi, but I think Magnus will have him prepared. Unlike Andy, Nole doesn't mind the heavy shots.

Except Del Potro's heavy shots.

a really want to see a gerbil scamper across the court just now..

I bet djokovic would start doing some sort of funky dance with the groovy rodent.

Didn't seem to mind his heavy shots at Wimbledon. What bothered him more was that Juan had no quit in him

Yes, but also the weight of Delpo's forehand when on is really at another level from anyone else on the tour.

I would say that is almost universally agreed upon. And in their Wimbledon semi, he was firing those forehands and making a lot of winners and also having a lot sent back at him, often for winners too. It was (imo) the best match of the year where both players were playing at or near their best throughout. Juan's steadfast refusal to give even a centimeter, forced Nole to give his all to win it.

Agreed. Some head-line making upsets, but Youzhny d. Hewitt was the closest to 'epic.' Maybe the final?

I thought Djokovic-Wawrinka at the AO was of higher quality but that's just me. Anyway, all the top matches I can think of this year have involved Novak (the two cited above and then the Nadal matches).

I agree with Broken. Wawrinka - Djokovic at the AO was better. Much more intense, Stan hitting the ball like a watermelon and it didn't end right until that amazing passing shot by Djokovic at the very last point. Stan was playing so well I almost wanted him to win.
