Whoops, sorry. I'll go....

W - Nole
F - Nadal
SF - Murray, Raonic
DH - Delpo
WC - Isner

Hiya, Fedfan! Texas (my alma mater) as only the WC??! I must protest...

I was thinking of you when I included the Longhorns. ;) Granted pre-season polls don't mean squat, but they are presently ranked outside of the top 10(#15 in AP)....thus qualifying for a WC in this format. :)

Hook 'em Horns!

and Go Cocks! (Moxie, I'm sure you're aware of the term but for the folks not familiar with it, that's short for Gamecocks that fans shout at South Carolina games. And yes it's hilarious taking someone for the first time and watching their initial reaction when they hear 85K screaming this in unison. LOL!)

Hey FedFan, I am with ya on the Gamecocks bandwagon.. My 1st cousin is on the Steve Spurrier coaching staff and the expectations are high especially since the "Beast" Clowny may be the best college player in the nation.

I'm going to lob in a hail mary and hope for the best. Not much point going with standard thinking if you need seperation.

Same here. Given that I am close to 20p behind the leader secrettennisjunkie, it's pretty much a mission impossible if I pick the standard picks. So I'm going for a hail mary too and hope for the best. Run Larry Fitzgerald, ruuuuuuuun. :laydownlaughing

Winner: Del Potro
Finalist: Federer
Semis: Murray, Janowicz
Dark Horse: Ferrer
Wild Card: Haas

W: Nadal
F: Murray
SF: Del Potro
SF: Djokovic
DH: Ferrer
WC: Tursunov
Super Wild Card: Nebraska's own Jack Sock!

Is it OK to not have all the quarters represented in my top 4? If not, replace Djoker with Ferrer make Berdych the DH.

Didi, on a straight dropback... here comes the rush, throws on a roll. INTERCEPTED by Tommy Robredo....

Don't worry mate, my picks have gone for a burton too. Only Djoker gives me hope.

OK, well unfortunately we lost some contestants this round, including one - Fedfan - who was in contention for the title. Thanks to Didi, who accomplished something I thought wasn't possible - garnering 0 points - those missing this round get 0 points.

Here are the final standings. I'm only including those that participated in at least two of four tournaments, and giving them default points:

83 secrettennisjunkie
79 kskate2
72 Moxie629
63 britbox & El Dude
62 Fedfan
61 riotbeard
55 theAntiPusher
54 rafanoy1992 & Denisovich
49 crystalfire & Didi
44 Mastoor
38 Ftan
35 herios
34 Mog

Congratulations to secrettennisjunkie as your 2013 Tennis Frontier Slam Challenge winner! And congrats to kskate2 as our runner-up!

zalvar, you got 15 points in this round - tied with 4 others for 2nd best score in this round, but i didn't add you to the total because you didn't participate in the previous three rounds. Next year!

Oh yeah, and theAntiPusher has bragging rights for the US Open - he got 19 points - the only participant to correctly pick the two finalists, which is quite astonishing if you think about (most picked Murray over Djokovic).

At some point I'll start a thread discussing rules for next year. I'd like to make a couple tweaks, as well as find a way to get both more participation and people from dropping out after a round. Hopefully with staying on one board - I think this went through three different boards - it will be more consistent.

Until then, thank you for playing and adieu...

Not that it matters or factored at the top, but I did enter the final leg if you read past the pigskin humor attempt. ;) With that said, really enjoyed your contest! Good fun!
