Seems you missed the error to winner ratio. 25 errors. Ferrer had 29 winners to 20 errors. That's the way the ratio works best and not less winners than errors.

He also had 25 unforced. Those aren't good numbers 2005. :nono

No complaints from me, because a 3rd set would mean an awful lot of energy expended (plus whatever were to happen in the final). Nadal continues to avoid the marathons like a genius ahead of London. Wouldn't have it any other way

I've been extremely impressed with Nadal's depth this week. Nadal's depth down the middle of the court has been outstanding, just as it was at the US Open. This week the only time Nadal hasn't hit with depth is when he's created angles. Nadal's angles have been more extreme than ever, and its a useful indoor tactic.

I'd suggest leaving the technical analysis to others...or re-watching his matches.

It was actually meant as a reply to NADAL2005RG's reply to Broken's post where the former claimed he was only never wrong about Nadal predictions for slams but he deleted his post just to make my reply appear as though it wasn't aimed at him, which it was. He conveniently deleted a few posts today as Broken pointed out. But yeah, only Denisovich got it right today

Great match by Ferrer. The head to head on HC was an indication that an upset was not an impossibility. Fed missed a great opportunity here to claim the title.
