gentile? or gentle? ;)

I'll leave it open for interpretation :)

EDIT: OK, I googled the word "gentile" and has a different meaning than I have seen it used as. Apologies if I have offended anyone, I'm afraid I shall never master the English language. So in hindsight my original post was a typo and meant to say "gentle" :)

I'm surprised this match is on Lenglen and not Chatrier. Although I hope Stan can make a couple of nice shots, the Djokovic - Haas match is expected to be tighter right? Or is everybody thinking this will be a blowout too?

Indeed they could have had all the men matches at Chartrier and women at Lenglen.

They have to give the women who haven't played on Chatrier yet a chance to play there. I don't believe JJ has been there yet. Besides, contrary to some men's belief on the ATP forum, Chatrier doesn't solely belong to the men.

^ I agree they need to schedule a WTA match obviously, I just thought the Haas-Djokovic was of a higher profile. Not on paper (Stan is ranked higher, and Rafa the defending champ), but in terms of potential excitement.

i think the deciding point would've been that Novak hasn't been on Lenglen once, if i recall correctly. and they usually have even the top dog(s) play there / outside Chartrier at least once.

Tommy on the other hand hasn't been on Chartrier once. will be tough for him on friday (given that he's more accustomed to Lenglen than Novak is, i think Tommy is the heavy favorite now, right? ;) )

I have tommy Haas winning today in a huge ambush of an upset if he is able to consistently get deep into Djoker service games and can keep creating his own patterns. PK was able to do this and with Tommy's new found confidence, this may be a very dangerous match for Djoker.

It would have been more dangerous for sure, If Nole would have been as flat as he played Kohli, but Nole came out sharp and he won't mock around. He's all business as he should be.

Yeah, Nole was too sharp today.. Don't worry Rafa will be ready although Djoker will probably be favored because of the results of Monte Carlo and the #1 ranking.. No worries, it should be a battle and I am sticking with the Dirt Devil on Friday.

With or without?
:D
Otherwise amen to that, despite my stance when it comes to dueling gender in sports.

I thought Haas played a good match and was a worthy opponent, and the match probably deserved more than 3 sets. The dead net cord cost Tommy's serve in first set, and i think he still gets a little tense when playing the big points. Djoker was solid as a rock, which one should expect. On the other hand, i think Nadal played a better qf and i think Djoker needs to play better to get the better of him at RG.
