Emma's Navvaro should have not gone to a TB in the 3rd set, she had the advantage and let Emma R back in and now has paid the price!
Raducano d Navarro 76(6) 26 76(3)
The media hype on Raducanu is just over the top you think she has just won Miami :)
Reality check Media! please do your homework before posting
It is Emma's 3rd Top Ten of her Career
It is Emma's First Top Ten win on a Hard Court!
Settle Down!
that's why I wanted her sent packing. Jess did the same thing during the grass season. Lost early to the fraud during a warmup tourney and we heard about it all the way through Wimby. Thank you Lulu for serving her walking papers.

Azarenka retired against Muchova 6-0, I went out for 1/2 hour just trying to find out what the injury was to Azarenka
Azarenka will likely be out of the top 50
Azarenka had a mishap hitting against the back wall. potentially dislocating her shoulder No, just saw pictures of Karolina carrying her bag for her off court

It's time for Vika to put a wrap on it. Start preparing for her fave tourney so she can wave goodbye. It's costing her more $ to still be out here and she's not making enough to cover the expenses.

Understood. I wasn't just referring to today. Just in general. When is the last time she got past R3 in a tourney?

I would have to go and check when was the last time she got past R3 :) I take your point, quite frankly I wont be surprised if Vika retires this year, I thought she might have retired last year

You've mentioned it before, but Linda needs to get in better shape.

Emma N is disappointing. She doesn't possess the killer instinct that is needed to survive in the top 10. Unless she toughens up, I don't see her getting any higher nor staying there.

Just glanced at the draw & it was a massacre as half the women seeds "fell by the wayside!" They all play the same ball bashing game so being seeded means little to nothing! It's not surprising no one woman is dominating as the rankings have bounced all over the place for yrs.! The stability of 1 player leading the way for a couple yrs. seems to be over! I thought Iga would break the cycle! I just don't watch enough to care that much! If Osaka could gain momentum I'd come back; maybe not! She's a mother! Few successfully get "all the way back" from that! Players like Court, Goolagong, Clijster, & a few others are rare athletes! :face-with-tears-of-joy::fearful-face::face-with-hand-over-mouth::partying-face:

Thats your trouble "You dont watch the womens tour full stop!!! and as usual you make comments are not relevant in the current WTA tour!
No not all players are "Ball Bashing" presently on the tour,
Iga dont make me laugh players have worked out to beat her lol!
If you dont watch enough to care that much then why comment?

Thank you Martina, for explaining the finer strategies of TB's. Shes's been saying this for years. Pity not many players have heard it because they'd be doing it.

  • Play every point like a BP
  • Hold your serve
  • Go w/ your favorite high % plays
  • Then all you have to do is win 1 point against serve. TB over.
