He was unplayable until 4:1, but now he looks a bit deflated. Agree about his volleys, too conservative there, probably cost him some break of serve.

Agree Hubi was unplayable 4-1, I would like to see him play more offensive tennis for starters, then his usual defensive style

I only started watching at 4-1 HH, so I guess I missed his best. I thought Carlos just woke up, because he definitely deflated ol'Hubie.

Asking the servebot to play more offensively for the match is like asking Meddy to do the same and not return from the parking lot. Both cannot or will not execute that winning strategy for the entire match. It's like they're both allergic to it when they need it the most.

I don't think of Hubie as a "servebot," though. Just boring like one.

He had a cold he is using the nose strips to help him breathe better

Looks like he has become too passive. Something has rocked his confidence. Maybe he needs to see Stefano across the net to motivate him.

I've been saying this since 22. Losing all those slam finals has turned his confidence to mush. He is just meh now. Cannot be trusted or relied upon to take out the most random scrubs, let alone a top 20 player

I am 'soo over' when a player does play a good shot, they put their hand up to their ear, waiting for the applause from the fans. Meh!
