Great win by nadal otr finals in every slam this year first time since 2011 his knee is the only reason why he lost a set in he's last two matches.

You're hilarious. Did he look in ANY way compromised whatsoever there? NO. Fresh as a daisy and running like a gazelle after 2 straight long matches. All of us who hate Nadal hate this bs from his fans as much as the guy himself.

He's been awesome at 1 major this year so far. Same as Roger and Djokovic, great at one major and nothing at others.

I'm just surprised people actually care about QF streaks. Roger has been to 10 in a row and 11 if he beats Milkman and so what? It's just the QF. Even at his age he should have no issue making QF's, that's usually when guys play their first notable opponent.

Can you translate that? What passes for me as awesome is winning the damn tournament. That's what the great players compete for and if you haven't noticed there have not been many great or even good players the past 15+ years

Figured Milos would take that, he's playing decent tennis. Wouldn't give him a chance against the all-world defense energizer bunny so hopefully he is toppled in the QF.

No player is 100% all year round and it could be his opponent hits hard and flat too, but no, always has to be down to Nadal for losing a set and not the opponent. Gotta love his fans lol. Khackanov should have won set 2 and Nadal scraped through that match but he was moving absolutely fine and today running like a gazelle again and Basilashvili played a great 3rd set and especially TB and yet you still put him losing a set down to his damn knee. That's just plain wrong and you're in denial. His opponent played fantastic and that's why he lost a set.

I am not saying that Basilashvili will best Nadal today, but that type of beatdown is not going to happen again. Niko has a new coach and since he has proved quite a bit. Thus his first title at Hamburg this summer.

I am actually impressed. Basilashvili was able to hang in comfortably with Ralph. He even took a set off of the Bull, which I did not even expect. His ground strokes are clean and powerful and shot selection is quite good too. But, he needs little bit more variety in his game.

I will agree with you about todays match but, basilashvili played well but not the set he lost in the 3rd rd.

Well, IF there was actually anything wrong with his knee it's now been fixed magically as there was no bandage on today. Retroactive TUEs are a disgrace but he most likely got a cortisone injection and will file a TUE for it later and it's against the spirit of the sport to allow that bs. Serena Williams has been doing it for years too as her leaked medical records proved.

He needs a serve. He seemed to be topping off in the low 120's with no placement and a weak 2nd serve and was missing a lot of first serves. With how hard he hits the groundies you'd think he'd serve bigger.

Serena got TUE's for everything under the sun. Probably got a hangnail the other day and got one. Nadal had them in 2009 and 2012, right before his two best years on tour. Seems like a nice gig if you can get it.

Rafa played Khachanov in R3 and that was the first time Karen was playing in R3 at USO.

Rafa played Basilashvili in R4 and that was the first time Nico was playing in R4 at USO.

Rafa shall play Thiem in QF and that will be the first time for Domi in a QF at USO.

Just saying.

I guess it's obvious why I don't bother even looking at the forums during Rafa's matches.

Do they have retroactive TUE's? If that is the case, then it is legalized doping. As far as I know, one has to ask for permission before they get the treatment.

He believes whatever he wants to. Don't try to bother him with facts.
