Shap rights the Ship by breaking in 2nd set. Hope he can turn it around and win.
I glad I am not one who tends to jump on the younger or next generation players to break through in the slams ..for years I have maintained my on going feud with herois about not pushing the current ole guard out to pasture. I will stick with the big Four til they all are vanquished to the seniors tour..hopefully they can continue to postponed that appointment for another 2-3 years

I can't believe that you have watched tennis for so many years because you have not learn anything
If it bothers you when I say that if Federer is injurded he should take more time off instead of to play badly and to make worse the injury then you show that you have not any idea about I juries and the consequences besides to be too susceptible to any comment which doesn't go with your ideas, grow up!!!!!
Keep going.......

I know you're not clever, but now you're revealing that you're not particularly honest. Here's what you said that I responded to, basically calling you out for not being objective enough to see that the back injury is clearly a problem...

I haven't said he is playing well, he is not playing well and that happens to anyone anytime but it doesn't mean he is not healthy

Of course it could be that you don't know tennis so weren't able to see something that was blatantly obvious, if you're just a fan-girl then that makes sense. You're not even adult enough to defend your own comments, instead you have dishonestly tried to re-frame your argument. Perhaps that's because you now realise you were mistaken. If you were a grown up you would acknowledge that and move on. Cowardly and pathetic really...

Shap takes the third set also. Just one more to go. If he wins this one he is the youngest chap in R4 since Chang in 1989.

Shapo goes through...too bad for Edmund, he was playing well.

Still impressive from the Canadian. Lost the first set, did not lose any composure. He has this ability to reset very quikly. A short memory is awesome in tennis. Congrats.

Sad for Edmund. I actually like watching him play. Can't say the same for his more accomplished compatriot..

Cilic in trouble. If he goes down who the hell is left over there? Should we be bracing ourselves for Isner, Querrey, or possibly Shap to make the finals?
Cilic has been in trouble ever since he couldn't handle his emotions vs the Beloved at SW19 final ..

"He" responded to your comments because they were silly and biased. The kid is not relevant, and is just upset with me. I'm willing to acknowledge Rafa's greatness, it would be silly not to. I just get tired of your constant sniping about Federer. You look at everything through the prism of Rafa, which get's a bit tiresome. You should be able to watch tennis objectively and contribute opinions accordingly. I get the distinct impression that when Rafa's gone you'll disappear. Guys like me have been watching tennis for the last 30 years. It's about the sport, not the player. Perhaps you'll learn one day..
Maybe thats the case with Miss Carol..maybe she is young , maybe tennis is a sport that she has just picked up and recently (past 10 years ) began following the sport . Maybe its Rafa's style of play attracts her interest..maybe she isn't some ole FART like me, Kieran, Fiero or your yourself..give the young lady time. Hell, I saw no evil in McEnroe, I saw excitement in Pete's style of play..Now its,all about the big Four for me..

Also, Shap is now #3 in the race to Milan. If he wins next match vs. PCB, he will become #2 in that race trailing only Sasha.

I try to. I try to ignore the comments. I generally do when Federer isn't playing. It's bad enough I have to endure a terrible performance like yesterday (I'm still fuming about his going to Canada), but to do so and read her nonsense was a little bit too much for me yesterday I'll admit..

I agree Roger may have overplayed his hand or position as an elder tennis player who has been blessed to have such a resurgence this year when we know he should really be out to stud..give him more time because miraculously he was able to overcome his physical ailments at AO..however FatherTime is still the GOAT

My goodness, you are completely stupid. Maybe because my English is not so good I can' tell you correctly what you deserve. IF ROGER FEDERER IS INJURED HE SHOULD STOP TO PLAY BUT IF HIS BACK DOESNT BOTHER HIM THEN IT MEANS THAT HE IS RUSTY OR SIMPLY HE IS NOT PLAYING WELL LIKE IT HSPPENS TO EVERYONE, HE IS NOT SPECIAL

I hear you. Frankly whatever happens in the US Open I think Roger should shut it down for the rest of the year after this. It seems like Australia is playing fastest of the hard courts now, so that's where he should put the focus next. He's won enough ATP tour finals, and he's been no. 1 long enough!

Nope. I don't think this is about your linguistic skills. You're most likely daft in any language. Don't worry... I'm sure it's not your fault..

At AO his injury clearly was minor if at all. I think that was gamesmanship against Stan who did it to him earlier that match and against Rafa whose done it to him 4-5 times before. They deserved it so I'm cool with him doing it.

It's amazing how brutal honest you are about Roger...good stuff dude

Yeah,,Rafa, does that crap too..heck I did it when I competed in USTA tournaments..it not fair but it happens all the time..Pova just did to Halep who is the queen of being a mental midget
