^ For what reason. I thought you are a Rafa fan first?

For the 30005848834304th time, I am a Fan of Federer as much as I am a fan of Nadal.

Sorry, this is impossible. It's a form of schizophrenia, incest, madness, whatever. They've got pills for that sort of thing, holistic stuff to. I seriously hope you get better soon... :nono

I have been diagnosed with Fedalitis back in 2005. They told me thay only a few cases have ever been diagnosed, so my psychologist wasn't even sure how to go about it.

Oh these amateurs. I'd ask for me money back. No man can serve two maestros, you know what I mean? Just keep watching vids of the two of them playing, choose one! And stick to it... ;)

I sometimes wish I could like that. So no matter who wins I would be happy instead of flying to the heights of happiness...

As I have grown older, it doesn't affect me as much though. After a disgusting loss by one of my favorites, I just take a look at my kids and feel better immediately. :)

I think of Murat as my opposite: mainly a Federer fan, but also a Nadal fan. But it's true, we're rare. I was a Federer fan first, then switched to Rafa, but didn't lose my love for Federer in the process.

When they play each other, I root for Nadal, but if Fed wins, I'm happy for him.

As for the main topic of the thread, at this point they both lose so often I'm almost numb to it. Rafa losing the other day didn't phase me. I expected nothing else. I was disappointed Federer didn't beat Wawrinka, but I didn't need a coping mechanism.

A work performance 90 day plan would straightened Toni out

^ Yeah, Tommy Haas should be underlined three-fold in this department. Personally, I also hark back to Safin.

Don't give me PTSD by mentioning Safin. Those were some painful years.

Watching Rafa lose has been odd, in the last few years. But I go for a run and get over it. (OK, and then drink a big glass of wine.) But there will never be anything like the shock of when he lost to Soderling in 2009. That really was seismic, and it kind of felt like someone had died. (Not to be disrespectful, but it did.) Federer fans must have a moment like that. After that, you take things more measuredly. Nothing will ever shock you that much again. As much as I was hoping for it to be different, I was not at all shocked that Djokovic won on Wed. So you shrug, and you move on to fighting with people on the forums. :laydownlaughing

The 2008 Wimbledon final result REALLY hurt. The 2009 Australian Open final result absolutely KILLED.

I really felt bad when Fed lost to Andy in the finals at Olympics 12. Unlike some other losses, including to Rafa in 2008 Wimby, this came out of the blue. Fed had just a month before humiliated Andy at Wimby and got the #1 ranking too. Further, Olympics comes once in 4 year not 4 times in a year like a GS.

But, I don't beat my wife when my fav loses not only because I am level headed but also because I don't have one. ;)

I can see why that 1-2 punch would have been tough.

I don't get it! How can anyone like Federer and Nadal? I mean, we all admire both players, but you can't be hoping they both win.

Can ya?

That's an admirable type of madness you have there. :snicker

Just kidding! I find it strange but it seems to be more common than I expected...
