Your favorite player that you love, adore, worship, cherish and root for with all your might just lost to his hated rival! How is one to cope with such a blow? How can you go on? Let's all let each other know how we each cope with such a debilitating loss. With the tennis season in full swing, some of this advice could make or break your summer!

Here's your basic tennis fan survival kit.

1. Sledgehammer to TV.
2. Roses for wife to apologize for TV.
3. Breaking a racket always feels good. Hey if the pros do it...
4. Drink your pain away. Not really recommended but many do it.
5. After an anger-rage fit, Tylenol or Alka-Seltzer is a must. Pepto too.
6. Duct tape to tape up the window you threw your laptop through.
7. A bucket and mop to clean up.
8. Lots of cash to buy a new TV and have window repaired.
9. A voodoo doll of the player who defeated your favorite player. This is a bit scary and concerning though.
10. Pizza. Lots of it. You'll feel better at once.
11. Smartphone to call in and sign up for those anger management classes down at the local community center.
12. Last but not least! Come on over to Tennis Frontier and let us help you cope through it. There's always the next tournament!

All joking aside, tell us! How do you cope with a loss?

I tend to watch the tennis on my computer, so this is my reaction when one of my fellow Aussies lose:

Why does #9 have a Djokovic face on it? Troll. :snicker

At the end of the day, tennis is just a game. I congratulate the winner, say cheers to his fans, and go do something constructive.

Haha, I thought long and hard about that one. Almost put Murray's screaming face on it but I thought, Djokovic always, he's No. 1 etc, so I used his head. lol No trolling I swear! I like Djokovic actually.

I do have favorite players (F3, Dr. Y, K.A. 74), and I always cheer for them with all of my might. But, I'm too old to love, worship, cherish any athlete. Plus, I realize that they aren't top-tier level players. So, I'm fairly realistic and accept the fact that they ain't gonna be beating any of the "big boys" in any significant (major) tournament. That said, I still hope for a win. But, I never expect one. Also...I get the feeling that this thread isn't aimed at fans like me...Fans of players outside of "The Big Four"...Because who, outside of "The Big Four", have "H-worded rivals"?

I have a lot of favourites so I insulate myself from too much gloom,I have multiple reasons why i'm ok with xyz players winning or losing in any given scenario.

also whatever happens Is out of my control, so congratulations to me for sitting on my bottom and watching tennis on my telly.

How can you possibly just sit there on your bottom when SO much is on the line?! :D

In pure disgust, I usually turn it off not to see the opponent celebrating, and I sometimes watch some of the worst losses in the career of the guy who beat my guy.
Evil? Perhaps, but hey it's better than drinking it away.

No, you may not kill a player.

But I've been a good boy!!!! It is always the same since the flamethrower....
