Svetlana is in, Konta out. Svetlana wins the Kremlin Cup to gatecrash the end of year finals!

Amaze-balls! I like Kuzzy. What a talent. Inexplicable her career trajectory. Have to feel sorry for Konta though, to pull up lame at the last minute has to hurt.

So many people to root for in this finale. No heavy favorites, but the best for all the participants. Nine more hours to go.

Yeah, even Angelique has gone 2-7 in her last WTA Finals matches.

Yeah, even Angelique has gone 2-7 in her last WTA Finals matches.

The commentators said that she'd only won three tournaments this year. Granted two of them were majors, but that's unusual for the #1 player in the world.

I think the bloom has worn off for me. The only match that was impressive to me was Australia when she beat Serena. I think she was phenomenal in that match. She got to every ball and her angles were sublime, but since then it's been a steady game; nothing spectacular, and she isn't very exciting. She seems nice but rather bland.

She was fortunate to have an injured Serena and an absent Maria and Vika in 2016. Aggie can't beat the big dogs, Garbine, Kuznetsova, and Keys are up and down. In their absence Pliskova, Cibulkova, and Konta have benefitted but next year some of the players need to step up. This wasn't a very exciting year for the WTA for me.

Edit: I forgot about Kvitova, can't depend on her either.
