American Amanda Anisimova reached out to Daren Cahill in the off season and really enjoyed his help this week in Melbourne.
"We're just starting out and getting to know each other. We'll see how it goes and hopefully it could be a long term thing.I'm hoping that will be the case".

Sabalenka is the person I need Madison to play in a grand Slam final. Either Kvitová or Sabalenka are the type of players even Maddie should be able to overcome.
What makes you think Keys or Saba will get anywhere near a Slam Final? :exploding-head:

You really think she's injured or just saving herself for Aus? Injuries can creep up when you haven't been on the tour for awhile and I don't know what kind of training she's been doing. She told TTC that she was just sitting at home doing nothing when it dawned on her she should contact her team and let them know she wanted to come down under. Whaaat? :astonished-face:

Their tennis talent and games are too good not to return back to s final . Again I wouldn't bet the house on it but we have seen other perennial headcases find a way. (Way too many to name but Ostenpaka did)

Osta was a fearless kid when she won her lone slam. She became a case afterwards. The other 2 have been this way for years. Not even the same situation

Halep is the best example of a headcase if you want to discount Ostapenko which I knew you would but it's too early in the morning for me to come up with a better example of a headcase.

Before I went to work I read due to lack of matches, she sustained a ab injury, which is quite normal, seeing she has not played tennis for months.

Ash Barty d Elena Rybakina 63 62 in the singles final at Adelaide International ( Ash won this event in 2020).

Ash Barty and Storm Sanders are also in the doubles final in Adelaide later.

Well done to Ash and Storm winning the doubles title!

As Barty has withdrawn from Sydney Tennis Classic ( which I think is a good thing, see she won singles and doubles in Adelaide)
I dont like players playing a week before a major.Ash has got enough match practice under her belt.

Rebekka Peterson knocks out topseed Sabalenka in Adelaide - almost 2½ hour. Watch Sabalenkas double faults and ufe - doesn't look good for the AO.

I said last week that the double faults would remain with her next match .The head case needs a head doctor and a serving coach to fix her service. It may take a while and will not be corrected before next week.
