Sharapova has withdrawn from Luxemburg tournament next week,ongoing shoulder problem,which should be her season over she has not played since the USO.

Kerber has also withdrawn from Luxemburg with a leg injury.Kerber could still qualify for a sport at the WTA Elite Trophy in Zhuhai.

As a result of Sharapova and Kerber pulling out,Amercian teenagers Gauf and McNally move into the main draw.

Elina Svitolina becomes the seventh of eight singles players to clinch a spot at the WTA Finals in Shenzhen.

Serena isn't competing in Moscow,currently sitting at No8.Bertens and Bencic,currently No9 and No10 in the race,need to reach the final of Premier level event to pass Serena and move into the Top 8.Bertens and Bencic are on the same half of the draw in Moscow,so it's only possible for one of them to make the final.If one of them makes the final,and if they meet in the s/finals,the winner will qualify.If neither of them makes the final,Serena will qualify.

Groenefeld/Schuurs and Krejcikova/Siniakova complete the doubles final field in Shenzhen.

Osaka said in her press conference her father was only a fill in coach,though I must say since he came on board,she won Osaka and Beijing tournaments,playing the brand of tennis she is capable of.Maybe this is just a coincidence that Sascha is now available to coach in 2020.I guess we will see at the end of the year,or early in 2020.
