Well we were both correct on the outcome in the 1st doubles match

Let's see if we can both get the double:)

Here are the scores:
FRIDAY, MARCH 28, 2014

Semifinals
M Hingis / S Lisicki (SUI / GER) d [5] C Black / S Mirza (ZIM / IND) | 6 - 3 | 6 - 4 |
[2] E Makarova / E Vesnina (RUS / RUS) d [8] R Kops-Jones / A Spears (USA / USA) | 7 - 5 | 7 - 5 |

We got the Wild Cards against the Russians. I like this match-up better than the singles final.

I like the way Hingis/Lisicki have navigated their way through the draw.

I will pick them to win the doubles title in Miami.

I must say I am not discarding the Russian team at all.

Fashion, I have to oppose, my gut feeling says the Russians will end the wild card run here, this is a real doubles team we are talking about, world class.
But then I would LOVE to see Martina the Sabinator prevail.
Sabine is the giant killer after-all...

They are an exciting doubles team and their victory in the QFs I was there to see--one of the best matches of the Miami event! It was riveting and these two are thrilling to watch fight for every point. Hingis is still a marvel with a tennis ball.

From what little we see of Hingis when she plays doubles, it's not on her if they don't win! She's amazing; still after all this time! :clap

Did anyone notice how labored Serena sounded when serving at times during Miami? It was really kind of jarring because I was like I rarely hear Serena make such noises when she is serving. It definitely didn't sound like a grunt at times. I noticed it early on in her match against Li and sometimes during her Kerber match.
