Tented, I did not watch Aga v Cornet. No news article mentions that injury hampered Aga so we should assume that Cornet won with her typical fighting spirit. Aga is one of my favorites. I hope she can stay healthy and win Wimby someday soon.

I am an Aga fan too, but I have seen Alize play and despite whether Aga was injured, Cornet, is a very steady performer and can play with some of the top ranked players in the world on a given day. Hard to predict a winner in the final, but I will go with the French gal in tomorrow's final.

Aga what happened? :cry She was playing so well and I left the Match because I can not stand too much looking at Cornet's nose! I have never seen anyone with a nose that looks like that!

I'm happy Camila won her first SF But I don't know how much of the Final I'll be able to watch since she will be playing "The Nose". Sorry Cornet fans, but that is what we call her in my family.

What a match!
Alize won the first set 7-6
Camilla rallied and won second 7-5

Playing the deciding set, I see Camilla as the aggressor but Alize is ahead a break. 4-3 and serving, she was promptly broken at 15 by Camilla to even things up.
It took some huge gutsy swings by the young Italian Lady to take those 2 games and lead the decider 5-4, she even had a break point to win it all...But Alize hung tough, evened the match at 5-5, she did some amazing shots of her own and took the last 2 games, rallied to win it by breaking Camilla.

Congrads to Alize Cornet, great week for her.

I echo Kiu's thoughts, super week for Alize! Comments about her physical stature are not very mature, it is the performance on the court that I respect.

Congrats to Cornet although I was hoping that Camila would have her first WTA title. Cornet is proving to be a most resilient player. In the past, I sometimes questioned her mental fortitude and self-control during tight matches. I must say that in the last few months she has become a much stronger player both physically and mentally. I hope she keeps it up and continue with her aggressive play.
