I didn't he isn't great, I think he is. To me .01% best of the open era is great. But I said you don't have to say he is great. And contextually, me defending the notion of his being a great player and saying he is far above average is different from what your statement in context. Or at least I read as you saying Stan has merely had an above average career.

I don't think great is an objective term, so we might agree(although I don't think so), but not on terminology.
