Congrats to Marion Bartoli. She is one of the most akward players I have ever seen: very very weird. It is impossible for me to root for her, but I admire her persistance and mental strength, so congrats to making the final. Let's just hope she doesn't win a tournament that so many better players have not (Henin, Clijsters to name a few).

I have to say, Bartoli has grown on me this tournament. She is quirky, but I think what I used not to like about her was her dad. She now seems more relaxed and charming.

You say you hope she doesn't win because because better players haven't. But same goes for Lisicki, doesn't it? No one would claim that either is necessarily better than Henin or Clijsters. So it just comes down to a 'style' you like or don't.

Lisicki is 23 and she has a lot more game than Bartoli. Have you even seen Bartoli play?

Lisicki might not be as good as Henin and Clijsters, but she certainly is to be preferred over Bartoli. And although I have softened a bit towards her, there is no way I can root for her. And it's not about the 'style'. You've been trying to put that on me for ages. I don't know what kind of style your referring to. I like Li, Errani, Stosur and on grass Lisicki. What kind of style is that? I do not like Bartoli and Azarenka.
